Best time of year - I wanted mine to be October, but we just missed the boat so had November instead. I reckon Charlotte Tilbury’s ‘walk of shame’ would look gorgeous with it, too! Best of luck.

Make sure your hairdressers up to the job 20 waves are really hard to achieve

gruel · 30/12/2018 19:01

Thanks so much for the help @ohsure

I also always have my hair down so had it up for my wedding. My dress was Maggie Sottero 'Greer' which is also very busy. I had a pretty up hair do, drop earrings (Art Deco style) and that was it.

Tacky, sorry but I hate the beads. Big fat gypsy wedding. But it’s your wedding dress, you have to love it no me

ginyogarepeat · 30/12/2018 19:22

Jaffacake - that dress is so far removed from a big fat gypsy wedding dress! What planet are you on Confused

HildegardCrowe · 30/12/2018 19:29

The shape is lovely but there's far too much detail and all that beading makes it look tacky. Sorry if you've already chosen it OP.

RowenaFlower · 30/12/2018 19:30

Love Xmas Smile

SantaBabycharly · 30/12/2018 19:30

Elegant

GemmeFatale · 30/12/2018 19:35

I think it’s beautiful. Elegant, understated, sexy but not tacky

7salmonswimming · 30/12/2018 19:41

That’s a beautiful, beautiful dress!

However, and I hate to ask, are you tall? Do you have big boobs? Do you have curves? The dress would look totally different on a short woman with huge boobs, or someone with no waist or a high waist.

Also, is your wedding venue appropriate? I think a chocolate box church, a glitzy hotel venue, a classic country house etc would be great. Beach wedding, working man’s pub, village hall - less so Grin

Gorgeous dress OP. I hope you enjoy wearing it!

littlecloudling · 30/12/2018 19:45

Elegant, beautiful, different to many bridal dresses I see. Demure. I want to get married now to wear it!

Shockers · 30/12/2018 20:02

The beading is of that period- it’s stunning, and very elegant.

TatianaLarina · 31/12/2018 13:56

I think it’s a bit of an odd mixture of 20s beading and a totally non 20s shape. But I don’t dislike it.

You’d need to be very thin or have good Spanx.
