Expensive. Classy.

LadyFlumpalot · 30/12/2018 17:41

First thought: Expensive! (All that beading isn't going to be cheap)

Second thought: Beautiful

Third thought: I wish I'd seen that when I was looking for mine tbh.

IconicWaffle · 30/12/2018 17:41

Beautiful, so refreshing to see a bridal gown with covered shoulders/ straps/ sleeves.

Faster · 30/12/2018 17:43

For me it’s a bit much, too many sparkly bits.

Deeedeeee · 30/12/2018 17:47

It is very elegant and beautiful.
Honestly though, my first thought was "you couldn't have a dance in that" !!
I'm guessing it's for a very formal wedding, so would be appropriate. Could you even sit down in it though?
Brides (and grooms) should wear whatever they like of course.

TheRollingCrone · 30/12/2018 17:52

It's very beautiful but far too much going on, if most of the sparkly column down the front was dispensed with it would be perfect. I think it will date very quickly.

LordProfFekkoThePenguinPhD · 30/12/2018 17:53

Beautiful. She mush have on very high heels thought.

gruel · 30/12/2018 17:53

Thanks everyone. Yes, it's for the bride!

I recently ordered it as I was very adamant I wanted my shoulders covered and didn't want any cleavage out. I fell in love INSTANTLY when I put it on.

But I just wanted to see everyone else's thoughts as I don't know if it's a bit "busy".

I hated everything else!

Also - LOVE the 1920s theme going on there too. Any ideas for hair etc to match would be hugely appreciated x

Glamorous, beautiful,

FogCutter · 30/12/2018 18:01

Do you have long or short hair?

gruel · 30/12/2018 18:03

Fairly long, about down to my bra fastener? I think I'm fairly keen on sticking with an old-fashioned vibe?

I definitely want to have it up, though

keepingbees · 30/12/2018 18:04

I wouldn't say it's busy. The main pattern is central which draws the eye down. I think it's beautiful and classy

Shockers · 30/12/2018 18:06

Grinat the idea that a 1920/30s inspired dress will date quickly!

It is absolutely beautiful OP.

LordProfFekkoThePenguinPhD · 30/12/2018 18:07

I don’t think it will date because it’s not a current trend. Unlike the whole Victoriana trend when I was a child. I still wonder why my mum dressed us like Victorian urchins and scullery maids.

FogCutter · 30/12/2018 18:09

Art Deco inspired Hairstyles, I love the first one.

Can I ask where it's from please? I make wedding jewellery and wanted to have a nose as I love all the beading on the dress!

pinkhorse · 30/12/2018 18:11

It's so beautiful!

FleeceDetective · 30/12/2018 18:12

Very beautiful.

I’d just want to make extra sure that the central beading wasn’t sitting in such a way as to accentuate my vulva region, if you know what I mean.

HauntedPencil · 30/12/2018 18:13

I think it's a lovely dress. It's not busy in terms of wedding dresses, it's a simple shape really with the detail in the beading.

gruel · 30/12/2018 18:13

@FogCutter I really love the second one!

And @LadyFlumpalot it's Mori Lee Grin

Vicki Rowe does some absolute beauts 20s/30s her designs definitely won't date. Sorry OP I can't do the linky thing but have a look! And many congratulations for the big day Flowers

DramaAlpaca · 30/12/2018 18:14

It's an absolutely stunning vintage style gown, not too busy at all because the shape is very simple. You'd really need to be tall & slim for it to look its best though. Most people wouldn't be able to carry it off.

Poppins2016 · 30/12/2018 18:14

Beautiful. Unusual, in a good way. Elegant. Sophisticated.

strawberryalarmclock · 30/12/2018 18:14

Oh look it's a wedding dress.
I'm not a big fan of traditional wedding dresses so ignore me. I'm a lone voice on this thread so listen to everyone else!
