Dress for elopement

My DP and I are getting married in April next year.

We haven't told anyone we're engaged and plan to elope - which we would be doing sooner if it weren't for prior planned events!

I'm having real trouble deciding what to wear!!!

I really want to wear a beautiful wedding dress, but I also want it to be simple and not 'too much', as it's going to be just me and DP.

We're getting married in London at a registry office with Chelsea Pensioners as our witnesses, then after a few photos we will be hopping on the Eurostar to Paris for a couple of nights.

Also, I really want to wear my dress for the journey to Paris as when we arrive, a car will be waiting to take us for a lovely meal and I want it to feel special.

Am i crazy? Help!!!

OMG CuthbertDibble those are heavenly! This one especially - it makes me want to get married all over again (OP I'd have it at ballerina length) www.fairygothmother.co.uk/collections/featured/products/86-maude-deluxe-mikado-wedding-gown

Your plans sound wonderful!

I've been collecting different styles of wedding dresses on eBay for a friend who's getting married next year. Her wedding's more formal though.

But I like these, both BNWT

needle and thread
There are two on eBay atm. Might be a bit extreme for the train

I'm getting married on 26 November. It was meant to be an elopement but our parents are now coming too.

My dress is a wedding one but very simple. I didn't want a big, fancy one. It was a sample in a shop so only cost £300. Plus £100 to alter it. Not having a veil or anything.
