What did you have or what are you having as a first dance song?

We're thinking of having Maybe I'm Amazed by Paul McCartney, what do you think? Would that pass as a 1st dance song?

We had perfect day by Lou Reed. Simple but worked for us.

We had "Is this love?" By Bob Marley.
Everyone commented on how they had never heard it as a first dance before. Not sure if that's a good comment or a bad one

We had 'is this love' by Bob Marley. Suited us down to the ground. Friends had the song that was playing in the club when they met. Its totally down to you and you DF and what means something to you. Even if you don't have a 'song' pick something you love

We had a similar clash with one of us preparing metal and one of us preferring golden oldies. We compromised with R.E.M., At My Most Beautiful.

Not spoken to DP about ours yet.

I would love Jackie Wilson Higher and Higher. I'd rather have something a bit quicker than a slow dance.

I want to include Bruce Springsteen If I Should Fall Behind at some point, but it's a bit slow to dance to for us.

We had Coheed & Cambria - Wake Up.

We had the version of "500 Miles" from Sunshine on Leith. Starts out as lovely slow dance song, then becomes the full song and everyone joined in then so much fun.

Rubbish name change to reply- We also have fairly different musical tastes but managed to compromise on Bryan Adams Heaven - the acoustic version. Was lovely.

We had 'for once in my life' by Stevie Wonder.

We had Come And Get Your Love by redbone.
We don't have 'a song' but loved that one from the Guardians soundtrack.

We had Florence and the Machine You've got the Love. It took us ages to pick something because dh and I also have very different taste in music but we both liked that one.

We have provisional agreed on two, Amy Winehouse's version of Will you still love me tomorrow and a little song called Mario Kart love song by Sam Hart.

That could all change though we're not get getting married for another 2 and a half years. I've just got everything else picked and want to start dance lessons.
