You beat me to it. I was recalling that thread as i opened this thread.

Just came back. It was brutal. Fucking freezing and raining non stop. Thankfully we were only there for four nights and it was a hotel spa, so spent our time there. I had to buy a hoodie as I’d only brought two (for travelling - ha!).

We went with our youngest who is 13, so we managed to have a laugh (sitting at the beach bar with blankets supplied by the staff, next to the outdoor heating, covered by a gazebo).

We played cards, watched Netflix, ate and drank. We laughed about it and still do ‘what’s that? Is that the sun? Quick! Get in the pool’. But it was shit. It was only a short break for us, so I feel for those who have spent big bucks and bought all the gear to basically sit in the equivalent of a U.K. beer garden.

But hope springs eternal - the weather could improve in the blink of an eye 😏

My Friend went today .. shes gutted as its really rubbish .. Saying that April isn't really the best time to go

I hope that it recovers for your holiday but can we please think about the fact that people living in Turkey and Greece are facing flooding, tornadoes and life-threatening circumstances? I have friends who live there... poor weather at this time of year is unusual, the current circumstances are almost unprecedented, and a horribly disappointing holiday doesn't compare to people losing their homes and their lives.
