Absolutely knackered this morning!

Im away from my pc and on very dodgy phone signal so I can't check what's happening but I expect there will be a fair bit of travel disruption this morning up from Berkshire and Surrey up into north London

Desperate for some rain here in Kent. Was forecast a shedload overnight and into this morning....not a spot Envy.

Believeitornot · 16/09/2016 07:53

Nothing here in West Sussex although it is very dark.

StealthPolarBear · 16/09/2016 08:23

What on earth is a fruit based phone?

BeachysSandyFlipFlops · 16/09/2016 08:42

Apple?

bookbook · 16/09/2016 08:48

Nothing here yet in East Yorkshire - forecast for later this morning, its just a bit blowy and dark at the moment.

LuxembergerQueen92 · 16/09/2016 08:56

Tis quite dark here...but no rain.....desperately need rain for our poor allottment.........
(goes to corner of the office and does quick rain dance before anyone else comes in)

bookbook · 16/09/2016 09:03

Same here Luxemberger - re allotment, seem to have hardly any rain at all this year.

LuxembergerQueen92 · 16/09/2016 09:14

bookbook - are you in South East too? we eagerly watch the forecasts hoping for rain but every time it just seems to miss our corner. We can travel 20 miles up the road to Maidstone and they will have had a good soaking and we miss out. The cracks in the earth on our patch you can easily slip your hand into. Sad

bookbook · 16/09/2016 09:34

East Yorkshire here -on the edge of the Yorkshire Wolds. This year I keep reading about everyone getting rain, and it never happens. I grow on chalk, so free draining stones here !

WhoKnowsWhereTheTimeG0es · 16/09/2016 09:44

Well, I was planning to spend the morning at my allotment but I woukd get very wet and muddy, I certainly won't need to water.

GloriaSmud · 16/09/2016 10:03

I won't have to water anything at my plot either (clay soil~ Leicester)

The BBC have the latest reports here on all the disruption, including the latest weather forecast.

LuxembergerQueen92 · 16/09/2016 10:12

Blow harder Gloria..Smile...still nothing here - just very grey and overcast.

bookbook · 16/09/2016 10:19

nope, nor rain here yet either, just dark

GloriaSmud · 16/09/2016 10:23

There must be something of a watery nature that gets over your way today!

Mummylin · 16/09/2016 10:23

Lots of reports of floorings here and a couple of houses were struck by lightening. Is that the end of it or is it due to return ?

Mummylin · 16/09/2016 10:24

Floorings = floodings

GloriaSmud · 16/09/2016 10:29

Mummylin~ there might be a little more to come in the way of rain/the odd storm. You can see the rain bands forming on raintoday at the moment.

LuxembergerQueen92 · 16/09/2016 11:11

We have rain! Persistant heavy rain...Smile - thank-you Gloria and fellow windblowers.

GloriaSmud · 16/09/2016 11:24

Excellent news Luxemberger!

bookbook · 16/09/2016 11:27

Same here, last 20 minutes !! Thanks Gloria also :)

GloriaSmud · 16/09/2016 12:54
