When is Spring actually happening?

Specifically in the north east. I like the cold, but if it's not cold enough for snow then it's just pointless.
I'm bored of the weather being blah and I'm ready for the sunshine!

Would also like spring to happen in the SE. Bored to tears of cold & windy.

Models differ this week with gfs being more optimistic about temps than the met office who are going for a cool week with heavy showers. GFS goes for temps up to 18c by the end of the week.

I was just going to start a thread about this awful weather. Cold cloudy and rainy everyday.

I'm in Sheffield, and l think we've had shit weather apart from 1 day every weekend since Christmas

I was only saying to DH yesterday that none of the trees have leaf buds on yet. Is this late? It seems late to us. All bare branches still, though magnolias have blossomed.

Spring lasted a day, I want my sunshine back. Just look at the beautiful sky we had yesterday!

YO YO weather has been constant for 2 years in SE. This morning was lovely but at 2pm it was murky with a cold blustery southerly wind. Then it rained for a couple of hours.
The wind keeps changing direction during the day and the good tidings today were that it is to get colder when it hasn't even got warm yet

I don't want a heatwave just pleasantly mild and bright.

Just checked the forecast for Friday, sleet and a north wind for Edinburgh......

Nights are dropping to almost zero next week. And that's in hampshire.

IMO spring needs to get its act together.

If someone could just tell me what to wear on a morning that won't leave me looking or feeling ridiculous by 2pm, that would be great.

We're fast approaching May and it's 3 degrees here - set to reach to reach the balmy heights of 9! And it's pissing it down.
