We had a BBQ as well so I can take some blame too!
Not too bad here atm, after a dank miserable start followed by some drizzly rain, the sun's come out now and the temps have reached 17.7c.

GraduateofPoorComp · 11/06/2013 11:26

Yes.

It was better than last summer! (searching for a bright side...)

digerd · 11/06/2013 11:50

SE.
Back in thermal longjohns and fleece trousers padded jacket , gloves and hood. Didn't need the hood this morning @ 9am as freezing wind had gone and felt much milder. Brighter today, but sun not managing to get through and drizzled this morning too.

Garden is bone dry and bet Tames Water will put a hose pipe ban in force as they did last year, and despite pouring rain for weeks refused to lift it Angry

My beautiful once blooming rambler < normally blooms in May> is struggling to burst into flowerSad

PeterParkerSays · 11/06/2013 12:01

Don't worry, the weather's just holding its cards close to its chest so it's gorgeous in mid-August when we go camping in Wales [fingers crossed emoticon] Hmm

SorrelForbes · 11/06/2013 12:04

In the SW.

With the exception of Saturday, it wasn't that warm here last week although the sun did struggle through the cloud quite a bit. However, it's been raining since yesterday evening, it's about 13 degrees and the heating is back on.

I am trying to plan a large party for the summer so this weather is obviously my fault.

MildredIsMyAlterEgo · 11/06/2013 12:07

Nooooooooo Sad

I've been in Poland for 4 weeks - thunderstorms, rain, flash flooding - I thought I was coming back on Saturday to some nice weather. FGS.

Was lovely on Friday but freezing on Saturday and Sunday.

Today was surprisingly warm, damp and humidConfused

Grey and dismal again this morning but 15 degrees already and wind coming from a southerly direction - if only the sun would come out, it would be a real summer's day at last.

ChewingOnLifesGristle · 12/06/2013 18:27

Sad Has anyone seen anything along the lines of a long range forecast for summer?

Was that all we're going to get??

Gawd I don't expect wall to wall sunshine in the UK but I swear it gets more miserable every summerHmm It's SO COLD.

digerd · 12/06/2013 19:03

The sun did come out now and again this morning, but pm has been raining and drizzling. We have 17 degrees atm SE - so milder than of late.

Temps last year in June the same until the last week into July when we had that mini heatwave. In my diary for 28th June was max out 29 degrees and at 9pm indoors was 28 .
5th July max out 28 in 27.

Sparklingbrook · 12/06/2013 19:07

15 degrees here. we had torrential rain this afternoon. Rivers of water running down the road. Sad

SE. Pissing it down all day. Pissing it down now. Doubtless it will piss it down all night. Cold. Am going to bed with a cup of tea and the iPad.

Delatron · 12/06/2013 21:28

There are rumblings from various forecasts that we may get some warmer weather next week. Think the continent is warming up and there is potential for some warm air to be dragged up (technical weather term). Fingers crossed, though I guess this could all change.

This summer has been woeful, I know last summer was wash-out mainly but at least we had that hot spell at the spend of May and another week or so at the end of July. I don't think last week was all that, 18ish degrees and a chilly breeze..I want some heat!!

nenevomito · 12/06/2013 21:31

To be honest I'm feeling a bit happier now its raining. When it stops raining in Cumbria, you find yourself getting a bit twitchy as its just not normal.

We had a good health drizzle this morning that took a break before having a light shower and now we're back to light rain.

Tomorrow my weather app says it will be heavy rain :) Hooray.

digerd · 13/06/2013 08:51

Drizzle is OK for dog walks, but not for the garden or pots. We need good downpours with breaks of sunshine, like April showers in JuneConfused. At last got my hose connection mended but now it's dripping at the tap connection instead. [sad

dingit · 13/06/2013 08:53

The only thing it's good for is slugs!

SomewhereBeyondTheSea · 13/06/2013 08:57

Is it just me, or has it been much windier than normal in the last few weeks? Even when it was sunny there was a sharp wind.

SOB :-(

dingit · 13/06/2013 09:13

Very windy last night! Sometimes in my vivid nighttime imagination, I wonder if one day, we will all be blown off the planet!

NotGoodNotBad · 13/06/2013 09:47

Today is glorious here for once. But I was woken up with pouring rain in the night. Hmm

Sparklingbrook · 13/06/2013 09:48

Windy and drizzly today. We are being spoilt with all the different weather this week.

About 1.30pm the sun came out. Didn't know what to wear for afternoon dog walk. Can't win as too hot in the the sun and just right when it went in. Cloudier now I'm home. 19 degrees in the shade and breezy here.

No rain or drizzle today. Better get the hope pipe out again
