I need to plan an outfit!

I would like to know too as we've got a massive street party on the Saturday and we need to plan indoors/outdoors options.

Doyouthinktheysaurus · 26/05/2012 14:00

I would like to know too.

I returned the wellies I bought for our camping trip and bought new shorts instead

I might regret itGrin

AngryFeet · 26/05/2012 21:33

Ooh yes I need to know! Got a BBQ for 30+ people so rain would be rather unhelpful!

Ponders · 26/05/2012 21:39

yes, still too early

except for times when it's really set fair (like the last few days) or the complete opposite (like most of April Confused) you have to wait until a couple of days beforehand max

you can look at \link{http://uk.weather.com/weather/10day-London-UKXX0085\weather.com} for a 10-day forecast, or \link{http://www.netweather.tv/index.cgi?action=uk7dayx2;sess=\netweather} for a day-by-day forecast for 14 days, but you'll find they contradict each other & what's given will change on a daily basis pretty much Smile

fanoftheinvisibleman · 26/05/2012 21:44

Me too. We're in Devon for the week and I really want weather like this please (should anyone be able to place the order for me!).

Bookmarking so I remember to look properly tomorrow. Gfs currently is going for a rather cool unimpressive scenario.

Ohyoubadbadkitten · 27/05/2012 08:49

I really think we ought to ignore the models for a few more days gfs shows shit cold weather

RichardCranium · 27/05/2012 09:21

Thanks OYBBK - ignoring the models seems like a good plan.

This shit cold weather doesn't include rain for Central London does it?

I've just looked at the 10 day forecast and for the Monday (which is when we have our street party) it's OK'ish. Cooler than today, with a 20% of rain, but OK.

Just going round to ask all the neighbours to be on standby to put gazebos in the front gardens!

Ohyoubadbadkitten · 29/05/2012 13:27

I think its looking ok at the moment. Cooler for sure but hopefully quite dry.
GFS is being a bit bonkers at the moment, so although it gives the most detail in that time frame I dont think we can trust it. (It is giving frosts for the south for Sunday morning!!!_

RichardCranium · 29/05/2012 13:39

frost Shock

I think it is wrong!

ArielThePiraticalMermaid · 30/05/2012 09:32

Looks awful. Completely awful. Half term looks awful as well

Ponders · 30/05/2012 10:56

the weather is punishing us for the govt changing the bank holiday - another stick to beat Cameron with Wink

an awful lot of regular bank holiday events have changed their dates as well, the fools. any of them which stuck to the weekend just gone had the best weather ever

Ohyoubadbadkitten · 30/05/2012 13:17

its certainly looking damper and cooler at the moment. mean old weather.

AngryFeet · 30/05/2012 14:02

Looks like my BBQ on Sunday will be rained off :( Rubbish!

Doyouthinktheysaurus · 30/05/2012 14:53

I took my shorts back to the shopSad

We are going camping, I'm thinking thermals are more on the cards! The forecast for Sunday in Birmingham is max of 14c.....Brrr!

I've been roasting all flipping week, our first camping trip of the year and we are all going to freeze!! I hate the British weather sometimes.

RichardCranium · 30/05/2012 22:34

Jeans for me this weekend then.

OP posts:
Doyouthinktheysaurus · 31/05/2012 08:17

Forecast is awful for Birmingham. A high of 10 on Sunday, 11 on Monday.....and rain!!

Ohyoubadbadkitten · 31/05/2012 14:33

Saturday - looks pretty much dry for most. Warmish in the south.
Sunday - Those in the northern half of the uk do far better than those south of Manchester. Wet in the southern half. Cold too, though not quite so bad for the NW.
Monday - less wet, but those in the south (away from the SW) look likely to see some rain. Coldish for the time of year.
Tuesday - potential for showers everywhere. Still coldish.

fanoftheinvisibleman · 31/05/2012 16:17

Gutting that we normal have our holiday in this half term and would have had fabulous weather if away this week as normal.

AngryFeet · 31/05/2012 21:16

So would you say that is a definite now for Sunday in the south OYBBK? Better figure out how to fit everyone into my house then :(

Ohyoubadbadkitten · 31/05/2012 22:31

I would say yes angry feet. Can you get a gazebo?

MaureenMLove · 31/05/2012 22:54

Bugger, bugger, bugger. Sad

200 people will be gathering in my street for a party on Monday. How the hell are we going to secure gazebos to the ground in a long line??

Answers on a postcard please. It may be possible to get enough for a party.

Oh and I'm going to a BBQ on Sunday too! Grin
