Weather warning here.
Think though that just about anywhere in the UK could get thundery showers today.

We're having a thundery shower at the moment ~ they weren't due 'til this afternoon and seem to have arrived early!

central london - huge flash of lightning and crack of thunder 5 minutes ago, the sky is black it it raining buckets - just in time for the weekend!!

maud That's about 30 miles from me. Too close! I don't want to get wet on school run any more times! (Would help if i had a rain coat instead of just a jumper!)

Stopped now! I too thought that the heavy showers weren't due til this afternoon - that's why I pegged out 2 lines of washing grrrrrr

I love storms! In fact, call me a freak, but I am enjoying the rain atm. It feels like a novelty

I love proper storms but we never get decent ones here (just north of Dartmoor). Lots of rain, wind, hail but never thunder and lightning . Think we might have to postpone this weekend's camping trip though.

I'm getting married in devon next weds. It's going to cock it down, isn't it? :(

Taunton is a nightmare for storms hanging around for hours, they seem to just go round and round the hills. It's like they can't find a way out.
Might be a good idea to camp another weekend though :)

Just hit North Wilts. Had 2 loud claps of thunder and 5 minutes of hail and now we have rain.

Yes to washing in I would say! Pisshing it down in Mid/North Devon and freezing with it. A small bit of thunder to go with.

Tumble drier is going, nice warm smell in the kitchen, son occupied watching it go round and round.
