Snow on the ground in south east Wales - a few cm - but not snowing now.

Apparently much worse in the north and west of Wales though.

-8 as I took DS to school half an hour ago here in Budapest. And snowing heavily. Regret taking him now as they finish at 12, are having a party this morning, assembly at 11 and that's it. Could have stayed home!

There is a very steep windey hill on way to school and we did it no problem on the way up. When I came back down 5 mins later cars were really struggling. A van had given up and was reversing back down and around. Cars that were stuck behind him then had huge problems getting going again. Not looking forward to pick-up!

In Aberdeenshire here. Both DSs' schools closed. A colleague and I tried to get into Aberdeen for work and had to give up after sliding very scarily on our village main street. It just keeps snowing.
Am sitting at home watching it fall.

It's snowing heavily here in south east Wales. And we're supposed to be driving to France tomorrow via Eurotunnel. Oh dear.

The little bit of snow we had yesterday didn't settle. We weren't forecast any this morning but it rained for about half an hour and covered the ground. I was quite surprised! I'm in the south-easterly part of the west mids.

4inches of snow in South East Wales (Valleys though!). Schools all closed. Blue sky now though (weathermen expecting us to have more later today and tomorrow).

Nothing here in Gloucestershire either, but then we have had nothing all winter so far. Those of you in south east Wales: where do you mean exactly? Newport area?

We woke up to about 1cm in Dorset, no roads have been gritted so they are icy due to the rain that fell before the snow. It started to snow again about an hour ago and is gettinh heavier now (well heavy for dorset, nothing compared to the rest of the uk).

Snow falling thicker and faster now in Dorset, hope dh doesn't get stuck at work . I'm glad i did not take dd1 to school this morning as i would have had to pick her up early.

Dumbledoresfairy, I'm about thirty minutes north of Newport. Haven't heard of many issues in Newport, but the M4 has a low speed limit. HTH
