Sorry for shouting! Didn't want to get lost in evening chat about much more interesting things. There are lots of warning about snow but not so much as a flake here yet (west kent)!

I'm mid Kent and crikey, we've got LOADS!
It's snowed heavily and constantly all day and I reckon I'm up to 8 inches now.
It was a major struggle to get home and I think I'll be stuck tomorrow as there's no way I'll be able to get out on the lane if there's a serious frost tonight which is predicted.

ours nearly all gone in tonbridge, im praying for no more as im poorly and don't fancy a snow day with three manic children.

Thank you :)

Isn't Tenterden near Tonbridge? Although clearly not if there is inches of snow there and none in Tonbridge. It's just blowing a hoolie here - trying to keep a three year old upright outdoors is my main struggle at the moment :o

I'm in North West Kent and have inches of the stuff.

Ladybiscuit, I class Tonbridge as Mid Kent only as they have Mid Kent College there! Ours is North West Kent College, theirs Mid Kent. Canterbury too I think from memory?

Bit more overningt ihere near Sittingbourne. Dd's school in Canterbury is closed - she is very miffed because she's not well so wouldn't be going anyway and doesn't feel up to going out in the snow anyway.

All Faversham schools open - but the road out of our villave is like a sheet of ice so we're not going anywhere. It's actualy showing at the moment here.

We are West Kent/Maidstone,and we have had lots more snow overnight, and it is still snowing here too.Our schools are closed, even DS's which mostly stays open in these circumstances.
DH heard that East Kent had no fresh snow overnight - but it must be nasty, where I was yesterday was so wet and slushy we could see it would be bad once it froze.

It's snowing in Thanet but not very heavily. We are going to venture out - the roads look pretty clear. Was going to go down to the harbour but if it's icy we'll never get up the hill again so I might forego that pleasure and stoke up the fire and toast marshmallows instead

Well I am well and truely snowed in. Managed to get a neighbour to have the boys if we can get there so I can try and trek to shop and stock up on gas/electric/anything to eat.

We're in a village not far from Bluewater and we've measured 10.5 inches of snow. DD1 went out in her sledge and it's up to her knees, i think dd2 would just sink.

of course if MN were to sponsor me to go on a course and then employ me as an official MN forecaster then everyone could have all the forecasts they want!

(looks like all of Kent will get some snow - but I'm not going down the slippery road to failure as to try and say where it will be worse there, steady snow, some heavier bursts in it)
