High chairs, specifically the Stokke Tripp Trapp

Thinking about what high chair to get. I know there is a review page, but many of the reviews are over a year old, so after reading them I'm none the wiser.

Can anyone recommend a good high chair?

I like the Stokke Tripp Trapp but concerned that there used to be a danger of the child tipping itself over backwards in one and there are a couple of 2 year old You Tube videos demonstrating this.

Does anyone know if this is still a problem, or has the design been changed to make this less likely? To be honest, I think a child could tip itself over backwards in any highchair if it was left in a position where it could push against a table ledge.

Yep, another vote for the TT here. DS1 used it till he was 3 and coz we were cheapskates when DS2 came along, he has it now. Never had a tipping problem with either. DS2 is now 13 months old. I did have to invest in the straps for him recently as he was climbing out and onto the table, something DS1 never did, but now he sits happily with them on, and lifts his arms when he is ready to come out.

We also invested in the table top plastic tray (not the one that attaches to the chair - this one suckers to the main table in front of him). Expensive for a piece of plastic, but actually its in use 3 times a day and invaluable for us as DS2 was BLW and protected our lovely oak kitchen table.

Love the Tripp Trapp, we've got two, DD1 is now 2.5yrs and still using hers, DD2 is 9mths, neither has ever tipped them.

Thanks everyone - you've reassured me so much that I have now bought the TT and DS loves it!
