What age can LO's have toast?

Am BLW and have been giving it to DD from just over 6 months...she adores it.
It's not an everyday thing but have now been told by a friend I should not give a 6 month old toast.

Anyone know if this is correct and if so I couldn't of hurt DD could I? [mother panic/worry emoticon]

my dd2 has toast at 6 months. loves it. thinks its bloody hilarious in fact.. silly cute thingy..aww

toast seem to be food of favour here , pitta she didnt seem to get on with that well.

dh just said they prefer "hong kong chinese" , lol at juxtapoisition of convos !

oh and ali , 1gm of salt a day I read from 7mths. Twiglett had it on a thread somewere yesterday, I need to find it , as a friend was interested too.
