Anyone in Spain know of a baby rice with nothing else added - just rice? Have checked my local health food shops but they all have sweetners or sesame added...Thanks!

it's precooked, you just add boiled water or defrosted ice cube of something you cooked earlier, it's so simple and you can make as much or as little as you like...

hiya

hipp make organic baby rice that's just that, nothing added (apart from the b vitamins). Their website in spain is www.hipp.es and you can supposedly find their stuff in the following stores: Alcampo, Carrefour, El corte Ingles, Hipercor, Supermercados, Leclerc, Gadisa, Caprabo, Ahold

hope you can find some & wean your little one the way you want to.

thanks zenjy1 my local corte inglés doesnt have the rice, they only do the jars and juices... and they only just started selling the veg only jars, before they were all meat or fish plus veg. Will check out the other stores, thanks

there are definitely some recipes for making your own baby rice online. couldn't you do as jetjets suggests, then cook it and freeze it? assuming you don't find the stuff you want, that is.

btw, on the blog there are a couple of weaning 'schedules' for allergic babies, and my friend wrote an interesting piece for me about blw ing a potentially allergic baby. it might be worth a read whatever you do, as i think she has some interesting nutritional tables in it. good luck. and am PMSL at the egg and chips x-posts...
