Sorry, stopped FORMULA last week... oh for a good night sleep...!

Ironmaiden · 24/05/2006 16:48

Bloody hell!!!
How long did it take you to wean Olivia off her morning nap? I've had Laura screaming crying for 2 mornings in a row now! She refuses to take the nap but is such a long streak of misery until she's slept it's making the day impossible! I can't let her sleep til she's had lunch so lunch happens at about 11am now! Today I put her down to nap at 11:30 after sho woke up at 7:15am (and was up 5 times in the night with her cough!)
I'm tired! I want her to be 6 months old again!

Hi hun, sorry i havent responded but our computer was broken. I'm pleased Laura had a lovely bday, Olivias was good too. We had a teaparty at my childminders with all her little friends. Got some great photos.

Olivia has been all over the place with naps since we got back from centreparcs. Can`t seem to get her back in a routine, it's crap.

She is being a little toad with her breakfast now aswell, refuses to eat anything until she has her bottle of milk (won't accept it in a cup) and then won't eat much after cos she is full from her bottle. They were so much easier when they were younger weren't they?

Hi. Long time no speak.
Just wanted to ask your advice again, DD is behaving a bit strangely the last few days, she's happy and playing / eating normally, goesw down as normal at 7pm but wont sleep longer than a few hours at night b4 waking and needing lots of cuddles and love and wont let me go once I'm in her room, she's so clingy she'll only fall asleep in my bed where I leave her until she's fast asleep then transfer her to her own bed. She doesnt seem to be ill or in pain, just not herself. This morning DH got up with her and she screamed for ages wanting me, a sure sign she's not feeling well. She fell asleep in middle of playing then and has now slept nearly 2 hours.
It's nothing I can really put my finger on, I'm just concerned as this is unlike her. I pretty sure it's not teething as she's got most her teeth now and I think we're having a bit of a break from that. Any ideas?

Yeah, me too, Laura's nap is only an hour at lunch time at the moment and I don't stress over her mealtimes, waking times etc, it's nice!

No, still haven't sorted out her bizzare behaviour, she's still waking and being clingy. I'm bringing her to the doc on monday to check her ears etc. She's fine during the day! It's probably just the hot weather, a few friends have commented that their babies are a bit unsettled in the heat.

Laura says her name and mama, dada etc but in the last few days has associated the word "baby" with her doll and one of her toys says "byebye" if you dont use it and she copies that. It's amazing to hear her saying acctual words! I pick up the doll just to hear her say "baby"!

She has started little tantrums, just throwing her self backwards and wailing if I take her away from something or stop her doing something. It's a bit scary but I'm hoping to nip it in the bud!!!

Doc says she has a sore throat but that it's not bad... Cant believe that's all it is, she's acting so strange. Ah well, hopefully it'll pass.
Does Olivia wake up all sweaty??? Laura does and she just sobs and sobs until she's cooled down.

You know, we should swap email addresses instead of using mumsnet! I rarely get the chance to go on MN just lately but I'm always tapping out emails! Do you have CAT? Don't want to give out my email address publicly!
