Oh my goodness they are rather nice!

I was sulking a bit because Quorn has stopped doing their Best of British and thought I'd never find an alternative that I could eat.

OK they are a wee bit greasy (definitely cook in a dry pan or roast in the over) - but my goodness, they taste alright!

Thank you to the Mumsnetters who recommended them!

I'm veggie, rather than vegan, but tried these for the first time last week. They're so good! I started them off in a pan and then finished in the oven. They're really tasty - even better than Sainsbury's Shroom Dogs, and I thought they were peak veggie sausage!

Ginfordinner · 16/04/2020 16:17

DD really rates them as well

Sparticle · 16/04/2020 16:21

I've only been able to get them once as none of our local supermarkets sell them and deliveries are obviously tricky to get at the moment but my family and I were definitely impressed!

cushioncovers · 26/04/2020 18:46

Oh thanks for the tip I will try to get some.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 26/04/2020 18:52

They are really good - have had them three times now, twice as sausage and sweet potato mash, with roasted onions, and once as sausage and homemade oven chips. Delicious! Want to try them in a sausage casserole next.

oohnicevase · 26/04/2020 19:54

I really like them too.. def a taste of the originals !

Peasypasta67 · 26/04/2020 19:58

Not even vegetarian and love them. I'm on slimming world and I was trying to find a less synful sausage. Picked these up and I was so impressed.

BikeRunSki · 26/04/2020 20:06

Ooh!! I have some in my freezer.

theneverendinglaundry · 17/05/2020 10:34

They are the favourite in our house too. Even my picky eater enjoys them!

I bought some Heck ones from the freezer in waitrose a while back and they were bloody awful!

crosser62 · 17/05/2020 10:36

Where are you buying these please?

SuperLoudPoppingAction · 17/05/2020 10:37

Simon Howie ones are similar.

I got the Richmond ones in a big Tesco before lockdown.

mum2jakie · 17/05/2020 10:43

They sell them in Morrisons. £2.50 for 8

theneverendinglaundry · 17/05/2020 10:45

I got mine in sainsbury's, but they have them with the meat sausages rather than in the vegetarian section.

mum2jakie · 17/05/2020 16:03

Yes next to the meat sausages in Morrisons too, so easy to miss if you're looking in the veggie section!

wheresmyhairytoe · 17/05/2020 17:26

The Tesco plant based ones are delicious!

ppeatfruit · 26/05/2020 12:51

What are their ingredients please?

VeganCow · 31/05/2020 11:08

Can get these in the freezer at Tesco now in packs of 8

Anotherlovelybitofsquirrel · 31/05/2020 11:13

They are delicious. If you like those you'll really LOVE Tesco Plant Chef Cumberland Sausages, imo they're even nicer! The other Plant chef sausages are not nice though, just these ones.

Can I just say... Richmond Meat Free Sausages
iOnlyWearBlack · 31/05/2020 11:15

They're also available in the freezer section now! 👏🏼

ppeatfruit · 31/05/2020 11:49

Another Sorry thanks for the link but I don't do links. Can I ask again for the ingredients?

homemadecommunistrussia · 31/05/2020 11:54

It seems wrong to buy sausages from a company that makes meat sausages. Especially Richmond-their sausages are cheap nasty low welfare pork too.
So I haven't tried them.

Anotherlovelybitofsquirrel · 31/05/2020 11:55

Another Sorry thanks for the link but I don't do links. Can I ask again for the ingredients?

Excuse me? You don't " do links" Confused

Well for a start it's not a link it's a photo of the^ product I posted for the OP.
^
As for ingredients, there's this thing called Google. It's amazing. Try it Hmm

Lurkingforawhile · 31/05/2020 11:56

I bought these because nothing else was in stock, but I'm now addicted to them! My non veggie OH likes them too. I've also found Fry's meat free chicken strips which are so much nicer than the quorn equivalent. Again, only found them as nothing else in stock! I think veggie rather than vegan tho

ppeatfruit · 31/05/2020 13:08

I do some, but I'm a bit paranoid about security. Also I hate cookies.

Lolly86 · 31/05/2020 13:09

I really like themGrin
