Can I just say... Richmond Meat Free Sausages

Oh my goodness they are rather nice!

I was sulking a bit because Quorn has stopped doing their Best of British and thought I'd never find an alternative that I could eat.

OK they are a wee bit greasy (definitely cook in a dry pan or roast in the over) - but my goodness, they taste alright!

Thank you to the Mumsnetters who recommended them!

Does anyone know of a veggie sausage recipe that gets close to these sausages? I'd love to make my own and not have to worry about company ethics.

They are amazing

I have these in my fridge ,for today's dinner , mash and Richmond meat free sausage and I will add some pinion gravy with chopped chillies, I don't eat meat at all so these are great I also try other brands but these are just perfect tasting for me

They are very tasty but incredibly highly processed and not very healthy (as is clear from the ingredients).

Love these as well and I’ve tried a lot of other veggie sausages that don’t come close, they make great toad in the hole with a side of oven roasted veg, bangers and mash with lovely onion gravy and cabbage, sausage casserole with root veg, a great all day breakfast with grilled tomatoes, mushrooms, potato scone etc even basic sausage and homemade potato wedges with a chunky tomato salsa. Very handy to keep in the fridge ready to have a couple with a big veg stir fry when I’m using up the slightly wizened veg before going shopping. My meat eating DH really likes them as well we buy them regularly in Tesco.

I absolutely love these, they're my new favourite! I wouldn't buy any others now although Naked Glory are very very similar so I've had them on the odd occasion I couldn't get Richmond.

Hangingover · 28/01/2021 01:57

I bloody love them Grin

I think everyone knows they're not healthy! They're Richmonds, after all. They are, on the other hand, DELICIOUS

DD's just emailed Ocado asking them to stock Richmond because she's missing them so much.
If anyone wants to join her campaign I'm sure she'd be delighted!

Mirrorxx · 28/01/2021 09:07

@TheHeathenOfSuburbia I would love ocado to stock them. At the moment we have to go to tesco just for these sausages

cushioncovers · 02/02/2021 13:23

I've tried them and love them. Has anyone tried theHeck meat free sausages? I've bought them and popped them in the freezer.

Hardbackwriter · 02/02/2021 13:25

Every other veggie/vegan I know loves these and raves about these, but I find them really salty so I was a bit disappointed! I prefer the Cauldron ones.

Pebbledashery · 02/02/2021 13:28

I'm not a vegan, I used to be vegetarian and started eating meat when I became pregnant.. Now I still prefer vegetarian options over their meat counterparts and I bloody love these sausages.. They are literally the bomb.

dingit · 02/02/2021 13:47

I used them to make sausage rolls and the family couldn't tell the difference
