We need somewhere nice to shop for girlie weekend......

Thats it really, we are looking for a nice city that is good for shopping, we like cities that are not like the normal 'high strret'. Any reccommendations please, we did chester last year and Bath before that. Travel isn't a problem as we plan to stay in area.

Cardiff has lovely shops in its arcades - probably nt as nice as Brighton though. Windsor, Guildford and Kinston on Thames are all good too.

Thanks for those, have thought about Glasgow but not really sure what is there, is it High street or not.

TM- thanks Brighton sounds good, would never have come up with that.

I quite often shop in Guildford, etc so fancied something different for weekend. Cardiff is something for consideration.

Brighton is lovely- we go there every year ( and spend a fortune )

I lurve Glasgow but then I am biased being Scottish and I did live there for a while.

Yes, it has it usually mix of High Street Shops but there are also fab little arcades etc. This may help

Might sound a silly question but does Brighton have 'something for everyone' so to speak? we all have very different tastes and budgets really, do you think it will appeal?

Brighton would yes- It has some expensive boutiques but equally much cheaper boutiques, its perfect for all budgets.

Another endorsement for Brighton.

We did a hen weekend staying in a lovely cottage in Oxfordshire. Went shopping at Bicester Outlet centre. Lots of lovely shops there. Then booked out a local beauty treatment shop. Took the whole place over and we sat on comfy sofas, drank champagne, ate chocs and had treatments. Then went to local pub for meal. All very nice.

Glasgow all the usual high street shops but loads of others too. Italian centre in merchant city and princes Square good for designer window shooping/ trying on.

Shrewsbury, lots of little independent boutiques and a fab deli can't remember the name and nice places to eat.
Like Nottingham too, but lots of chain stores.
