Does anyone know a fabulous place (castle) to stay in Central England for 19 people? (mixed ages)

to celebrate a number of momentous occasions (birthdays / anniversaries including a silver and a gold)

age range from 3 to 87

preferably somewhere that has style and lovely food?

between London and Manchester would be great

We've used English country cottages a few times, something like this might be suitable.

Looks fabulous... might have to bookmark that one for myself, could be fun to do something like this one day!

I would love to do this sort of thing but unfortunately not too keen to spend that much time with the vast majority of my family memebers. maybe I'll just gate crash someone elses happy family get together.

Google 'The Landmark Trust,' Twig.

They restore unusual and historic buildings, and then let them out to guests. Some of their properties are astounding - and the prices aren't out the way if the cost if shared.

They are all self-catering however.

If you need me to post you their handbook (although a couple of years out of date), I'll be happy to post it to you.

What month are you looking for? there are good places availible of season.
