Have a look at the Laura Ashley hotel in Bowness

Serin · 30/03/2019 20:02

The Daffodil hotel in Grasmere (home of Wordsworth) or The Lodore Falls on Buttermere ard both gorgeous.
I would have said The Rothay Garden Hotel in Grasmere but there is a review from a same sex couple on TripAdvisor that is quite concerning.

Mentounasc · 30/03/2019 20:17

Serin, the Lodore Falls is on Derwentwater, not Buttermere. It's nice, but I found the interior design rather oppressively traditional. And the maitre'd was childishly rude to me at a wedding I attended there.

Northcote Hotel. The restaurant also has a Michelin star.

Youngandfree · 30/03/2019 20:55

Merewood hotel near Windermere 💕🙌

Missmarplesknitting · 30/03/2019 20:56

L'Enclume
The Dirty Duck
Also love the wild boar at crook. Less posh but fantastic.

ABC1234DEF · 30/03/2019 20:57

We stayed at Lyzzick Hall, was beautiful

Decormad38 · 30/03/2019 21:00

The Miller Howe hotel - Delia always championed that one.

TheCumbrian · 30/03/2019 21:01

Do you mean Northcote in Lancashire sillybilly? It's a bit outside the Lakes?

I second Brimstone. Fab

burblife · 30/03/2019 21:04

Linthwaite House near Windermere

Sillybilly1234 · 30/03/2019 21:06

@TheCumbrian oops. Yes Lancashire but not that far from the lakes.

igglepigglegingin · 30/03/2019 21:13

Holbeck Gyhll is fantastic

I love The Gilpin and always recommend it for a luxury break for food lovers.

GivemeGinandTonic · 30/03/2019 21:49

Another for Holbeck Ghyll, food is spectacular and the hotel very cosy. Great for walks too!
