Got it - the Empire Hotel...its next to Garfunkels Restaurant (hence me remembering the weird name!). Haven't stayed there myself but walked past it loads of times and its soooo central for shopping etc

bath spa will provide cots so they are obviously happy to have kids there.

NikkiBFG · 05/06/2007 21:14

Laila's mum - Laila is an Arabic name - any chance you are Arabic?

choosyfloosy · 05/06/2007 21:14

6 months. Hmm. Have you considered a luxury short let such as 14 York Street?

If it's cheaper than a hotel you could hire a temporary nanny too

lailasmum · 05/06/2007 21:15

Its (bath spa hotel) near the swimming pool too (though they probably have their own) and there is a park down the road. There is also a quay thing near their too so you can look at canal boats.

wordgirl · 05/06/2007 21:15

DH and I stayed here www.theresidencebath.co.uk/ recently and it was lovely. It's not in the centre of Bath but it's right next to Victoria Park and it's a lovely stroll into town.

lailasmum · 05/06/2007 21:16

Nope just love the name. We took her to morrocco last year and everyone kept thinking I must have married an arabic guy.

NikkiBFG · 05/06/2007 21:19

Ahhh! I'm married to an Arab and Layla was on my short list if we had a girl, but had a DS instead!

I love Arabs - am always nosying around trying meet more!
