Aimsmum agree with everything on here so far!
Sapporo is absolutely brilliant, you'll love it. Couple of mins walk from there to Alma de Cuba - which is def worth a visit!
Also tea factory is there, good bar but pricey.
Lots of good bars around 'concert square' area. baa baa is great for shots such as the 'creme egg' shot - sounds hideous, it's gorgeous! there's 'Reflex' - 80's club, really cheesy but great fun. 'Modo' also on concert square is a nice pub/club, free entry, quite trendy and good music downstairs.
Queens Square good for a variety of restaurants.
If money's no object, head up to Hope Street. Hope Street hotel houses the 'London Carriageworks' restaurant, supposed to be the one of the best in Liverpool (but pricey!). (I'm supposed to be going there with dh on sat night for his 30th!) There is also a great bar downstairs, usually full of celebs. Think there's also a Hope Street restaurant itself. 2nd best one in town from what I've heard!!
May be difficult to book this late though so google them and if you like the look then call and book.
Walkable from hope street is renshaw street, (i think!) some good bars such as Magnet (also a club downstairs) and Fab cafe which plays chart/indie type music...
Oh btw, Alma de Cuba also has a restaurant upstairs which looks luuuuurrrrrvly!!!
(And it does tapas before 7pm at weekends.)
For a more cheesy touristy type night head to Matthew Street, home of the Cavern pub and club, Lenon's bar, Revolution etc
hth!!
Let us know if you enjoy it!!
