I've been going pretty regularly to the gym. Twice or three times a week. Bit of treadmill now and again. Some swimming but 10 lengths or so nothing major. My part time job is fairly active.
I've been doing this for 5 or so months. I've cut down a bit food wise but still have carbs etc. I don't have a sweet tooth.
I've lost a stone so far ( needed). I'm quite surprised at losing with weights. I've done weight training when a lot younger and can't remember losing weight? Toned up definitely.
I saw a friend last night who I haven't seen for months. She asked me if I'd been on weight loss jabs. I said cheers mate was I that big! I'm tall and carry weight pretty well. Although the post meno belly was noticeable before. That's gone down a lot.
I did take some berberine a few months ago and felt slimmer afterwards. But I had some stomach cramps amd lots of wind so stopped. I do feel as if my appetite has lessened a bit after that though?
I've had my annual health check recently and apart from cholesterol being a bit high all was ok. My B12 was borderline at the beginning of the year but I've been taking a good supplement that's easily absorbed. I definitely feel I have more energy. Could be that or the exercise and weight loss?
Anyone else started weights at this sort of age? I absolutely love it. More than when young. I'm going on holiday abroad and even checked if there's a gym near the apartment 🙈 I'll make do with sea swimming.
