Any recommendations please? Particularly if I can buy it in Sports Direct?

I wouldn't think you need anything specific for that, just a normal sports bra.

Any sports bra, medium or high impact, Decathlon ones are decent for cheap, otherwise Nike/Under Armour/Adidas.

I just wear a normal bra. Sports bra for anything that's going to make them bounce about but not weights.

I don't wear a bra for upper body work. I feel a bra minimises my feelings of pectoral engagement quite a lot and I want to be sure I'm both fully engaged and can feel that engagement.

I'd be scared of catching them in the plates, meself. 😁

I just use cheap as anything ones - Amazon, Primark, etc - and prefer ones with either a full back/zip closure or an encapsulated one, as the T and X backs tend to annoy me or drag on the back of my neck.

After all, there's not much bouncing around being done (I warm up on the rower), so I don't see the need for them to squished into submission.

One of my friend is doing weight lifting practice. she is always using a nike sports bra.

I agree nothing specific for weights - I find myself living in Molke non wired bras, takes a bit of faff to find the right size and not cheap but they have a facebook site selling pre-owned and any I have bought from there have been spot on

I tried lifting weights in my normal day to day bra and it felt like the straps were cutting through my shoulders. Depends on your size and the weight your lifting. I will not wear a bra that isn’t a sports bra with wider straps now.
