www.maxworkouts.com/workouts_for_women

I can't find many reviews of it online and thinking seriously of giving it a go.

I used to be on his mailing list and he had a great blog, loved his approach to diet and exercise (strength training with compound movements and HIIT based), having trained a similar way myself I think it's a great, extremely effective approach. However he obviously went into partnership with some hard selling diet plan and the emails became endless sales pitches so I unsubscribed. If the max workout is still just that then I think it looks pretty good if you feel you need guidance from a plan...I'd compare the cost to having a decent PT that would use the same approach for a few months though, that may be a better investment. Thanks, sleep. It's really the kick-start/structure I need. I can "do" 90 days!

I was pretty fit before I had two kids and I'm now just getting time back to exercise and get back in shape as cheaply as possible Grin. Also, I'm 43 and having foot pain and knee issues, so I have to consider that.

Infomercial says the cost is $39.95.

Hmm, the knee pain issues would definitely make me more inclined to get a PT to make sure your technique is good - squats and lunges in particular because of the risk of injury (I guarantee Shin's programme will include those!) even just one or two sessions to supplement the max workout plan would be good Smile. Let us know how it goes!

I will! I have nothing to lose but the gut! Grin Thanks for your advice and encouragement. Awesome!

Yep. Downloaded them and will read them off tonight. Had the opportunity to buy a whole load of other docs and access to the web site for advice, etc., so you could end up spending more if you're tempted to. But since I've worked out in the past with trainers, etc. I think I'll be ok. The daily emails seem to be a part of the "plan" which costs a further $29.95 per month after a 21-day period, but I just wanted the basic program. I got 4 books, including the MAX workout, Lean Body Diet, guide to Bodyweight Workouts, and Muscle Recovery.

It's more the ankles/feet than the knee. Known plantar fasciitis in one and a recent sprain in the other, but general poor circulation because I am well unfit. Been to GP and got blood tests to make sure it's nothing other than being unfit, so ready to go for it once these lovely children are back in school and get back to myself.

I'm really excited ;)
