Found it via a Facebook click bait article. Didn't dare look at the pictures. Yes, I get that it's most probably photoshopped but I saw The Grudge 15 years ago and still worry a dead Japanese boy is under my bed...

My mum had a fine line on scary stories and we would tell them to try to scare each other. We had a big old creepy house that was very weird - some say haunted (grandma wouldn't come after dark as she saw several ghosts having a conflab on the garden - we used to call it the 'ghosty union meeting') and there were lots of weird noises, shadows etc.

That and my sister always hiding in bloody wardrobes, behind curtains, in linen chests etc and leaping out at me to try to get me to scream... poor DS is rather put out that I never ever jump-scream when he leaps out at me.

Exploding - it's the way you tell it and you have to be in a dark, drafty, creepy house to get the full effect. Besides, grandmas stories of her childhood and ww1 stories were much more scary!

Ooh it's defo creepy and pretty scary at the end! Not as bad as I thought though...

I didn't find it scary and I'm a wuss.
It looks too fake and I couldn't make anything out in the photos apart from the last few when the doll () is on the bed.

I'm coming back tomorrow morning to read this and then hopefully forget about it before bedtime. I've had a little read buy I'm too scared to look at the pics properly and I'm definitely not listening to any audio.

i think the hardest thing to fake is the video of photographing the hallway with the instamax. That was clever editing I guess? I can do good photoshop but that had me going 'oooh!'

Also I think the creepiest photos are through the peephole onto the stairs where you can just about see something hiding. Much creepier than a full on pic of David.

Yes, the picture through the keyhole are good. Remind me slightly of a scene in the Little Stranger but won't spoil that for anyone who hasn't read it.

Clearly David's dead body is in the crawl space. Question is, is this a "Ring" type haunting where it won't matter if his body is discovered and given a proper burial - he's just out to hurt, or is that what he's after?

He doesn't ask for anything though, does he? What I mean is, usually if the body needs to be found and dealt with the haunting revolves around a "come find me" vibe. This just seems like it wants to do him harm, in my opinion.

I sent it to my dad and he was very underwhelmed, I have never been so disappointed in him before 😂 DH however was really creeped out when I showed him the pictures and agreed the phone call was probably reasonable. Result!

But the shoe obviously wanted to be found...? I think Adam needs to find out just why the upstairs apartment was suddenly and unexpectedly vacated also.

My DH was underwhelmed also. Heathen.

There's lots of faces, but seems to be on more prominent than the others. Just did a quick zoom on my phone.

Or on closer inspection, it's the black mass by the bookcase sort of hiding. The faces are just... I dunno actually!

I'm so glad you posted this OP! I started reading this when it first started and then forgot about it. Can't wait to scare myself silly again once the kids are in bed!

Oh FFS. Why did I read this when the husband is on nights? I've had to go round and firmly shut all the blinds now. I don't even believe in stuff like this but anything with ghostly kids freaks me right out.

Coco - It's the black mass between the shelves and the banister, where they meet. If you compare this peephole picture to the one with the door open, that little black mass isn't there at all. Hope that helps!

Nah - shadow and a smeary fish eye lens. I'm going to take a shot through my peephole and see if I can find some ghosties.

Hmmmmm, it's been a while since the last update...: I wonder if we will get a Christmas one?
