please explain the biscuit thing on threads to me

I've missed something somewhere. I'm picking up its a bit sardonic? Or sarcastic?

Gordon Brown has problems with his eyesight and mnhq were reading out the questions they wanted him to answer. Mnhq did not read out the what is your fave biscuit question and posters thought he was ignoring their repeated requests for an answer. Not really GB's fault - mnhq could see the questions and comments about the biscuit but chose to ignore it.

I've said this before on a similar thread but I thought it was a slice of grapefruit with a cherry in the middle!
