I've missed something somewhere. I'm picking up its a bit sardonic? Or sarcastic?

Biscuit

It doesn't even look like a donut! Getting my first biscuit out of the packet Grin

Wolfiefan · 15/06/2016 21:56

Seriously contemplating carrying a packet of biscuits round in RL for just "those" moments!
Grin

pinkstarsarefalling · 15/06/2016 21:57

Hearts please do type FOTTS...

(I need that explaining too!)

Fuck off to the far side of fuck and then fuck off some more.

pinkstarsarefalling · 15/06/2016 21:59

Ha just, a biscuit after that username!

What a good idea. I may keep the odd packet of jammy dodgers at work.

And take your bastarding biscuit/donuts with you. (sorry have had a really shit day at work and it is being released here!!!!!)

Hassled · 15/06/2016 22:00

I love how this is in "The Unexplained" topic :o.

It comes from some Gordon Brown webchat years ago when he didn't/wouldn't answer the "what's your favourite biscuit" question on account of preferring to talk about you know, politics and shit (on account of being a politician rather than a famous biscuit eater). For some reason this caused huge outrage and possibly if he'd simply said "Hob Nob" we may not have had the coalition government. Historians will look back and marvel. Anyway - that's when the Biscuit Bollocks started. Now it's code for "I have nothing of any value to say but using a biscuit emoticon will make me look like I do".

ooh we have an 'unexplained' topic!

it means 'i can't be arsed to say anything yet want to register my contempt'

pinkstarsarefalling · 15/06/2016 22:03

I can be so bloody literal I literally thought it was where stuff could be explained. Like emoticons to the middle aged. Or Twitter.

OP posts:
justdontevenfuckingstart · 15/06/2016 22:05

Should have been a custard cream. That's a biscuit that says 'i don't care'

pinkstarsarefalling · 15/06/2016 22:05

Only in Britain could there be outrage over lack of affiliation to biscuit types.

OP posts:
Hassled · 15/06/2016 22:07

Oh that's unduly harsh on a Custard Cream, I feel. Rich Tea biscuits are the "I don't care" of the biscuit world - now that really is a pointless biscuit.

Icklepickle101 · 15/06/2016 22:07

I have my first Biscuit today and I very much meant it to mean FOTTOSOFATFOSM.

was my biscuit the one that was the inspiration for the thread?

pinkstarsarefalling · 15/06/2016 22:09

There was a huge shortage of custard creams recently. We really felt it at work. There were some shoddy shady copies.

OP posts:
pinkstarsarefalling · 15/06/2016 22:09

Yes ickle it was! Grin

OP posts:
pinkstarsarefalling · 15/06/2016 22:12

That was definitely a very well aimed biscuit ickle. I'd have thrown a packet.

I was confused after seeing them in other threads where it could have been used in a different way.

I had a Bourbon in a meeting the other day - first in a long while. That's a under-rated biscuit, IMO. There's a lot to be said for a Bourbon.

justdontevenfuckingstart · 15/06/2016 22:15

ickle would you have preferred it to be a custard cream?

justdontevenfuckingstart · 15/06/2016 22:17

Bourbon is a good biscuit. And garibaldi. At work if I do the shop I stock up on Fox's chocolate creams.

pinkstarsarefalling · 15/06/2016 22:19

A rich tea goes soggy under pressure.

I think we need our biscuit to be strong, round and a bit sticky.

I guess a custard cream is a tad like a custard pie?

OP posts:
justdontevenfuckingstart · 15/06/2016 22:23

Going to be a maverick here. A shortbread finger. It's strong and sturdy, very tasty but says 'dont fuck with me' a

pinkstarsarefalling · 15/06/2016 22:24

I do like the pout analogy though.

Ahh, jammy diggers will never be the same!

OP posts:
pinkstarsarefalling · 15/06/2016 22:25

*dodgers

OP posts:
Hassled · 15/06/2016 22:26

Shortbread finger is a good call. It's robust, it has that slight saltiness which stands up well against the sugar, it could cope with a tea-dunking.

Is there a TV show where I could be the resident biscuit expert?
