Help me name new horse!...
GeeandTea · 14/05/2014 17:05
We are collecting a horse on Saturday. 15hh Bright bay ID x TB, gelding. He needs a name!
Ideally it would be a slightly quirky, non human name.
At the moment I love 'Dude' and 'Wilbur'
Any other ideas?
TIA

Does he not already have a name! Of the above I probably like Smithy the most.
ADishBestEatenCold · 14/05/2014 20:08
How old is he and, as Faez asks, does he already have a name (and if so how long has he had it)?
I do believe that horses learn the sound of repeatedly used names and do respond to them, so I don't usually change their names.
If I do have to name a new horse, I generally wait a short while to see what suits. Something usually comes to mind.

Dude is an awesome name for a horse. You can always call him The Big Lebowski for shows
Pixel · 14/05/2014 21:19
Chaffinch how sweet of you to name it after me .
He must have a name surely. I wouldn't change it unless it was really dreadful it's supposed to be bad luck.
