ok- I'm giving you all one more chance to rename our new pony. He's a bqlck Dales with a star, a snip and a sock.

Currently he's called Louie, which we don't like, but which will stick if we haven't thought of something else by the time he arrives at 11.00 tomorrow.

please..........!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Do you want something that sounds a bit like Louie or are you not bothered?

seeker · 22/09/2012 20:34

We can't think of anything like Louie we like. We'd keep it on his passport anyway, so no, it doesn't have to be like Louie

So far the only RL suggestions we've sort of liked are Banner, Drummer or Pippin (hobbit not apple)

In homage to our fabulous Olympics, how about a nod to Mo Farah or Ursain Bolt?? I m trying to work Mo or Ursain into a horsey name.....

DorothyGherkins · 22/09/2012 20:35

Ursain Bolting..??

DorothyGherkins · 22/09/2012 20:36

Mo Farrier ?

FancyPuffin · 22/09/2012 20:39

Lennon?
Bilbo?
Hobson?

Purplehonesty · 22/09/2012 20:40

Ds has a hobby horse called louie and he says it in such a cute way...loooooweeeee that I love the name!
I was going to suggest pippa when I read the title but for a boy I like pippin too.
I also like charlie and William as I had ponies with those names :)

FancyPuffin · 22/09/2012 20:40

I wish so much you could call him Black Boy (from the Jill books) am guessingyou would get Hmm face a lot though.

FancyPuffin · 22/09/2012 20:41

I had a Wilam...

seeker · 22/09/2012 20:45

I love Pippin, but I wonder whether it's a bit delicate sounding. He is very sturdy!

I doubt if Rapide would suit him either, Puffin.

Actually, I quite like Puffin........

If I had a black pony I would call it Raven. Probably not very original!

Pixel · 22/09/2012 20:47

Or how about Merry instead of Pippin. Still a hobbit.

joanofarchitrave · 22/09/2012 20:47

Puffin's nice Smile

Kingsman

FancyPuffin · 22/09/2012 20:53

Yes

Call him FancyPuffin

Splishysploshy · 22/09/2012 20:56

Sorry dn't know much about ponies but am presuming the term Dales means the breed originated from Yorkshire so have you thought of place names such as
Brindley
Hebden
Litton

Pixel · 22/09/2012 21:13

Or Pudding Grin

dikkertjedap · 22/09/2012 21:17

Angus (the big horse ridden by Merida in the film Brave)

SaggyOldClothCatPuss · 22/09/2012 21:25

Or Hindley.

Or Heathcliff. I quite like this! Your horse is black, he had a black soul!

Or going with the LOTR feel, Bill?

AllPastYears · 22/09/2012 21:28

Freddie. Bit boring maybe, but he sounds like a Freddie Smile.

SaggyOldClothCatPuss · 22/09/2012 21:39

Penn. Really like that too!

SaggyOldClothCatPuss · 22/09/2012 21:43

Jet.
Raven.
Dubh. (black in welsh)
Seren. (star in welsh)

out2lunch · 22/09/2012 21:43

bronte

SaggyOldClothCatPuss · 22/09/2012 21:44

Hobbs?

SaggyOldClothCatPuss · 22/09/2012 21:45

Hovis?

SaggyOldClothCatPuss · 22/09/2012 21:46
