Mine is Lilac Skye and is Blue/dark grey and white (very pretty) and was already called that when I bought her.
Long story, but took her on when a friend had bought her, couldn't manage her and the original owner wouldn't have her back......
She is 6, had been "professionally broken"
more like profesionally f**ked up, and am certain she has been knocked about a bit... she was scared of her own shadow (and the shetland
, and very. very head shy of ropes, whips etc and is more like a 4 year old really.
Catching has been good - then bad - then good again with no rhyme or reason really...... just have to be really consistent with praise and reward her if she does do what i want.
Have also started doing join up, but really need a smaller area to do it in.....
She is going to be a lovely horse in the end, I just need the patience... and the will power to keep up with it all and give her time to get to trust me .... i have had her just over a year now, and keep going one step forward and two steps back.
Have also thought about putting her in foal, and just giving her time to chill, but not sure what I would put on her...
