Easy KS2 clubs!

I need to run a break time (half an hour) club for years 4-6. My school already has a lot of clubs so I need to think outside the box. Does anyone have any ideas for a fun club that won’t take too much planning and organising?!

Happening already! I need to think outside the box. This is why I’m asking - because all the usual easy clubs are already being done!

I run a creative writing club and it’s a huge success. Very minimal effort from me and the ch enjoy it. I use school funds to buy a load of glittery gel pens, then print off some story prompt pics from pobble, and some nice lined bordered paper from twinkl. I just lay it all out at the start of the club, put some pop music on YouTube and let them crack on doing some creative writing. I mark my books or do emails or whatever whilst they’re doing it. They love the pens and the opportunity to write about fun things, and hve a chat with their friends whilst doing so.

Thanks for all the ideas!

You would need to buy some stacking cups like https://amazon.co.uk/yeesport-Stacking-Training-Challenge-Competition/dp/B0CYSJDNQL/ref=sr_1_10?dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.d9J383GvXEGXtf2_lM9Bq49ttJWlKuI7IaLl1sCi0LG2YT3xJgOsr7Riiw_Ft_SYTxNg67J5-lUavcBl6qEIUjjydHUIgxOmQ3ijWr-Z5rJ90ML6LqQo7eygZMDTmzPkFyeSN1NL6RNaUN9GATdLMaTrbViPBCV3lifHBsrI4BoQ5b2jv9SVGa5StHZZ6tpUM_BnjFwwpTkH184o0ghqdajpRc-oe-ny5EHIFxeKllIoLUvh8cvaE9Q_23FVvCmrArIiHWq_gY02KnhhfBuxfrbgKcJ88gY7htAf5dj5s84.bFJB__fnK_Gn-UuonvL8oEg9S9N-MkVBB0W76Ixoe5c&dib_tag=se&keywords=speed+stacking+cups&qid=1757957950&sr=8-10 these: but I found quite a few in charity shops, so perhaps also check out vinted/ebay ask for donations. I had a dvd 😂but I think there are good videos on you tube This is a reliable brand.

Begin with the 3 stack and getting children to use both hands for the co-ordination. Then teach a 6 stack separately followed by a 12. They can then put it together. As well as doing timed, they can work in pairs, or do other challenges.

Oops, sorry for the massive link. Been a long day....

I used to run Yahtzi club and card games club. Very easy!

Or how about word games club? Boggle, wordsearches, crosswords, banana grams, scrabble etc. Charity shops or asking for donations would help set this up and twinkl have lots of bits you can print.
