On or off? What would your school do?

OP posts:
MerryGrinchmas1 · 15/03/2020 11:37

Ours have just been called off.
Paper reports being sent home instead and any questions to be asked through school app.

AndWhatNext · 15/03/2020 11:38

My DD is in y7 and her school had cancelled their parents evening.

PheasantPlucker1 · 15/03/2020 11:38

Our open evenings still on this week, parents evening still scheduled to go ahead next week.

Frlrlrubert · 15/03/2020 11:38

Our next one is the 26th, not cancelled yet.

itsallthedramaMickiloveit · 15/03/2020 11:39

All ours are called off.
Primary in Wales.

itsallthedramaMickiloveit · 15/03/2020 11:39

Sorry. They were at the start of April.

SkelligM · 15/03/2020 11:51

Called ours off, also stopped parents bringing infants in for soft start.

lampsandrain · 15/03/2020 11:53

Still on. Fucking idiots.

thebookeatinggirl · 15/03/2020 12:35

Still on next week, and class assemblies, parent workshops etc. Nothing changing until Govt say so, apparently.

Decorhate · 15/03/2020 12:40

We cancelled ours last week and this week coming. Plus a couple of evening fundraising events. No point in taking unnecessary risks

KittenVsBox · 15/03/2020 12:45

Ours is semi cancelled.... weve been asked to go in only if we have major concerns.

YeOldeTrout · 15/03/2020 12:50

Me & DC all supposed to help out at ours. We have not been told it will cancel, but situation changes by the hour.

Rockbird · 15/03/2020 12:50

On so far but that might change in the morning.

CanIHaveAPenguinPlease · 15/03/2020 12:51

My youngest dc has had theirs cancelled. Sixth form. Correct decision imo.

waryandbored · 15/03/2020 12:52

Latest on school closures may make this decision for us.

They've cancelled the (small) High School show. Kids gutted.
But Parents Eve is still on, atm.. It was on the same night? Odd...

Beetlebum1981 · 15/03/2020 12:56

Ours are still going ahead next week - loads of hand sanitiser to be placed at the door and parents with auto-immune issues/pregnant being told to stay away.

Parents evening cancelled at our primary. Ditto trips into central London, parents coming in for music concerts etc.

Fair enough.

FourEyesGood · 15/03/2020 14:07

My own school (secondary) has given very little information to staff, students and parents. My daughter’s primary school have emailed to say they’re cancelling parents’ evening this week, along with all assemblies.

LizzieBananas · 15/03/2020 14:17

Cancelled. Should have been this week

MummyItsallaboutyou · 15/03/2020 14:23

My DC are at different schools. Both due to have parents evening on Thursday. One has been cancelled, one is still going ahead (at the moment).

tootiredtoconga · 15/03/2020 14:38

We've cancelled parents evening, along with a fundraising event and the careers fayre also had to be cancelled as almost all the companies who were coming in have said they've now been told they have to work from home.

ElGuardiandenoche · 15/03/2020 15:06

As of today our secondary is still having the year 7 parents evening tomorrow. I'm on the PTA and we are still organising the teas and coffees, raffle and 200 club for tomorrow.

ValancyRedfern · 15/03/2020 16:45

Still on for Tuesday. 220 kids plus parents plus teachers all in one room. Excellent.
