I know there is a thread about the theft of some pre publication editions of this book.
This thread is more by way of a book club discussion about the actual book , the text. Threads will go where they will , but my intention is this is more for me to give my opinion on the book and for others who read it or are interested in the book to join in. I have pre-ordered from Kindle (half price otherwise I may not have 😊) But is only available on September 22nd. So a holding place if you like.

Diana hadn't spoken to her mother for four months before she died, so yes there were good reasons.

Just to say - I haven't posted because the book isn't actually out yet. It's Sept 22nd (Tuesday). I've pre- ordered on Kindle. I'm actually out Tuesday afternoon , back early evening , but if the book downloads just after midnight , I'll try to read a chapter or so Tuesday morning and post Tuesday evening. I have to say having read the DM excerpts I'm not hopeful , but of course they are going to be the headline grabbing bits - so reserving judgment for now.

I can add nothing re points of law 😊

Try “does hearsay have a meaning outside law”. That should help you understand. Obviously the PP was not using the legal definition, given there is no court case for it to pertain to.
Also - I didn’t claim it was “just gossip” fyi. So important not to attribute claims falsely, don’t you think? As a paralegal, I mean.

Posting a screenshot to demonstrate that there is more than one definition of hearsay, and suggesting that another poster was using it in its everyday sense, is not the same as my using any of those definitions. You seem pretty slapdash in your logic and ability to follow a chain of events for a paralegal tbh. Happy to add OhSnidey to my new collection of usernames though 🙏

What a disgraceful interview today asking the Earl Spencer why he has written a book about his sister and the king. Such lies fell from his lips as he looked at the dozy interviewer . She was dreadful, it was obvious that money was absolutely the Only reason he had written it , oh and to blacken Charles name. He and Harry should be thrown into the tower. Forever.

Disloyalty is often caused by wanting money. Irrelevancy caused by lack of compassion and very short memories.

I hope that we Brits refrain from buying the dreadful book written by Earl Spencer. Another moneymaking load of crap simply because he’s in need of cash onto his 4 th wife and more kids than one can imagine. His only course of action is to have another crack at the Royals and his truth is in the garbage on sale now. I wouldn’t believe him if asking him the time I’d have to look at my watch. Such a straight face when answering a question like…. Why are you doing this. Hahaha 30 years later, he’s decided it’s time to try to break the Royal Family and make some cash . What a nice guy 😡😡😡

Nope. Charles Spencer has about £40 million in liquid assets and an art collection worth up to £85 million. He could just sell a few paintings if he needed money.

I should imagine he doesn’t wish to sell anything. So it seems his main objective is to bring down the Monarchy. Whatever his reasons I’m absolutely certain it’s all about money.

I think his main objective is to wash the RF’s dirty laundry in public. It’s fascinating to watch.

And surely the King’s own brother should face a similar charge if so. He has done more damage to the RF than anyone else.

I remember most things. I’m a Virgo and my main concern is Justice. Really dislike folks who lie through their teeth. That interview has really riled me. Mostly that Laura Kuenssberg , I couldn’t believe how soft she was with him. Dreadful interview, I wish it had been Piers Morgan because he’d have tied him up in knots.

He has sold a few paintings before, so seems quite willing to do so if he needs to raise some cash.

I thought she was very tough on him.

To the post that informed me that certain newspapers were in the wrong about Earl Spencer not offering Diana a refuge to escape to. Apparently he offered her a place to stay at Althorp but she refused because she wanted the Garden House. He refused her so as well know she thought she was escaping going with Fayeds son . The rest is history and unfortunately the loss of her will resonate through the ages.
