Well it's true that the palace won't tell her what she can and can't do, they don't tend to try to control private citizens.

I've never worked out whether they're

(a) being given bad advice and following it

(b) being given good advice and ignoring it or

(c) are not being given any advice and fumbling around causing chaos

My instinct is (b) but there's been so much happening for so long now that I wonder why anyone would continue to work for them if their advice is being ignored. It feels far more like (c) !!!!
