Meghan and Harry spotted out and about - ¡Viva Colombia! Edition (Part 7)

Harry and Meghan Markle wrapped up Colombia in Cali. They attended the "Afro Women and Power" forum where Meghan joined the panel and spoke in Spanish for her opening comment. She had a moment when she walked across the stage to angle the floor fan towards the panel - it was apparently 33 degrees yesterday (and believe me after spending a little holiday in that heat - I can more than sympathise 🤣). The event featured performances by Afro-Colombian artists and highlighted issues of women's empowerment, a theme closely tied to their work with the Archewell Foundation.

Meghan wore a stunning sequinned skirt by another Colombian designer (Silvia Tcherassi) and a white sleeveless shirt. Love the bold deep pink colour of her red bottoms - I think she’s worn them before. Harry wore a light blue shirt and dark trousers - no good view of his shoes

I like the picture of all the outfits. I haven't seen the green dress on the end. Do you have any photos or links to that one?

The couple visited Unidad Recreativa El Vallado in Cali, where they participated in a youth event organized by Jovenes en Cali. The Sussexes enjoyed performances of salsa and hip hop by local youths and even joined in the dancing and snuck in a cheeky kiss!

Meghan was in her comfort zone in white - the skirt again from a Colombian designer (Juan De Dios) and a white t shirt with sandals.

Paid for privately or by the Colombian taxpayer?

Harry's bald patch much in evidence there. Of course that wouldn't matter if he hadn't made such a mockery of William's hair loss.

I'm impressed with her Spanish intro - delivered in a relaxed way and well received (was all gibberish to me but didn't seem to be to the audience). A tick in the right box.

DH is fluent in Spanish and tells me Meghan's delivery and accent were very good.

@EatMoreFibre - does your husband know if she speaks Spanish with a Spanish accent or Argentinian one?

The Sussexes concluded their visit to Colombia by attending the Petronio Álvarez Music Festival, a significant event that celebrates Afro-Colombian culture. The festival is one of the largest of its kind in Latin America, showcasing the rich musical, dance, and cultural traditions of the Afro-Colombian community. The Vice President invited them to kick off the event - with both of them speaking in Spanish for a bit and again thanking them all for their stay.

Meghan looked fantastic in a green dress and (the top of the dress put me in mind of the green dress she wore at the end of Invictus) her trusty Aquazzuras. I think she looked absolutely stunning! Harry was back in his dark blue shirt (with rolled up sleeves) and dark trousers.

Csnt balme her for waling up for air.con, everyone on my office is doing it with the air con machines they had to bring in when it was hot last week I like the pictures of them smiling at each other, just goes to show they are happy and anyone picking pn pictures to say hey look he looks bored...yeha it's a moment in time noone sits grinning away for every second.

Dark blue/ navy seems to suit them both

A better look at the detail on the dress

Dh learnt Spanish in Spain- he says MM's accent is def not Spanish but (to him) generic Latin American with just a hint of Argentinian.

Green dress is the best outfit of them all.

Decent and suitably coloured undergarments are required.

Harry suits dark blue.

No-one suits sweat patches.

Yes the green dress is a great look. Not too smart, fits well and the colour is good on her.

A lovely intimate moment where this handsome looking pair quietly appreciate Colombian story telling of more difficult times.

I would agree. I thought it was very heavily accented Argentinian style. I was surprised as I understood her to have improved her Spanish by living with a host family in Madrid while completing her studies.

I think it was brave of her to attempt it but she is clearly not fluent in Spanish, or Castilian Spanish pronunciation.

I love the bright green picking out the green from the garment above.

Little touches like that are most welcome.
