Nice photo of Charles and Zara Tindall

I saw a nice photo of Charles being greeted by Zara. They were at a horse show. It was nice to see the support he is getting and also support from the public after all the trouble Harry has caused with his whining and demands books and tell all TV programmes and disclosing family stuff. Court cases and so on. No wonder William won't see him.

ODFOD …

We'll just have to imagine what the photo looks like I guess

It's amazing how this apparently lovely photo (we haven't seen) can still end up being about fucking Harry. The obsession is insane.

JaneJeffer · 03/05/2024 17:50

Thanks @Nono22972 I love Zara's jacket

BigWillyLittleTodger · 03/05/2024 17:56

Lovely pictures, you can tell there is a genuine bond between the two of them, I read that it was Charles who suggested the name Zara to Princess Anne when she was born, nice story if true.

How about, isn't it a lovely picture? That's it, the end, full stop!

It's a lovely photo. Good to see he has support from his niece and public during his cancer treatment. I was very close to my uncles too.

Not sure why people can't make a positive comment about the Royals without having a dig at Harry. I understand justified criticism about him but this photo doesn't need it. It's a lovely moment between an uncle and his niece nothing more nothing less.

AutumnBride · 03/05/2024 18:08

Aren't Charles and Anne the closest of the siblings?

You have had your say. Let others say what they want to. They are obviously a close family. It's lovely to see!

StedeBonnet · 03/05/2024 18:48

That's a really sweet picture, how lovely.

JSMill · 03/05/2024 18:56

There's been so much written over the years about Charles being stuffy and formal, often said in contrast to Diana and you see this exchange like this between him and his niece. He is a much warmer and kinder person than he was given credit for in the past.

I think you're absolutely right. He does seem far more warm and relaxed now.

IsoldeWagner · 03/05/2024 19:13

It's such a nice picture. Zara always seems so genuine.

@JSMill I think he's changed a lot over the years.

That's a lovely warm photo

I thought his last Christmas message was spot on. Kind, inclusive and modest. The only reference to the Coronation was to feature the charity workers who had attended, and what good work they do.

pilates · 03/05/2024 19:54

Agree it’s a lovely photo - natural warmth.

supercalafragilisticexpealidocious · 03/05/2024 20:02

Every photo I see of her she seems like such a decent person. I bet she's so much fun too. And Charles is grinning with such warmth. It's a lovely photo indeed.

alseb · 03/05/2024 20:07

They are lovely, natural photographs. There appears to be a very genuine love and warmth between these two people. They always look happy to see each other.

DobbyTheHouseElk · 03/05/2024 20:11

Charles looks like he has make up on, I’ve noticed it recently. I hope he is doing ok. It seems such a shame to wait all your life to start working and then become so unwell.

Zara seems like a lovely genuine person, you can see how much love there is between them.

Thedom · 03/05/2024 20:41

That's a genuine bear hug, they always seem to enjoy each others' company and it looks like they have a lovely uncle / niece relationship.

Cancer treatment is so tough, you can see the toll on Charles, he doesn't look great, but he does appear to be in good spirits.

I believe he was described as 'a kind boy' when he was at prep school - before Gordonstoun. Obviously the school would want to say nice things about him but they didn't have to say that if it wasn't true.

He probably has relaxed more in the last twenty five years.

I know that the press created that agenda to some extent, showing her hugging the boys and not him, her running the parents' race and not him etc. However I do think some of the difference was simply generational and the fact that he was the heir. It's pretty clear that since the late Queen died a certain old fashioned formality has also gone.

JSMill · 03/05/2024 21:40

@MrsLeonFarrell exactly.
