I saw a nice photo of Charles being greeted by Zara. They were at a horse show. It was nice to see the support he is getting and also support from the public after all the trouble Harry has caused with his whining and demands books and tell all TV programmes and disclosing family stuff. Court cases and so on. No wonder William won't see him.

It's pretty clear that since the late Queen died a certain old fashioned formality has also gone.

Totally agree. You would never have seen the Queen's children hug her in public like this. A kiss on the hand was as much as would be permitted.

I nearly started a thread on this today after seeing these photos! Charles always had quite a ruddy complexion but since he took the throne, he looks like he has talc on his face-from way before any mention of cancer

I read somewhere that the king wears make up to hide his rosacea? Could be completely wrong though!

His skin looks very ashy. There is a difference, I thought in his Christmas speech he was wearing make up. I really hope he is ok.

People do wear make up when they’re on TV … And probably whenever they know they’ll be photographed and scrutinised.

I thought it could be sun screen, as it looks whiteish. Chemo can make skin extra sensitive to the sun.

I think my point is more, if he is wearing make up, why isn’t he wearing something better which looks the right colour? Not suggesting he turns into Trump! But why is it noticeable he’s wearing make up.

Could well be sunscreen; since my dad had radiotherapy for cancer he has had to wear sunscreen all year, medical advice.

Agree with the sunscreen and factor - 50/100 is usually an ashen colour. In which case, he's taking care and not just tarting himself up for the cameras.

I remember when Spare came out and Harry claimed that his father never hugged him, it just took a couple of minutes on the internet for people to find images of Charles hugging him and being affectionate.
It's really very bad to perpetuate those lies against a parent.

HM seems a pretty genial type; he waves to cyclists, stops to speak to walkers and generally seems to enjoy interacting with ordinary people. I'd call that warm.

Oh yes, @Mylovelygreendress ! You'd think she'd learn not to say things that can be so easily disproved, but she's just like Harry in that respect, it's really odd.

I think we've seen plenty of that hugging - it's her way of engineering herself to the forefront in every event. Forget Harry and his handshakes she's right in front of him .
