So pretty much the same age as him and younger now than the woman he’s married to. God he’s such a tool, I don’t know how anyone can defend this cringey man! 😆

CathyorClaire · 05/02/2023 21:10

No one forced Harry to include losing his virginity in the book that was purely for titillation to boost sales - very cynical and without a care for this lady’s feelings.

Nor for any of the others he must have known would be thrown into the frame.

Even in a family that's rotten with entitlement it takes piggery to another level.

ALeapOfFaith · 05/02/2023 21:15

I’m just here waiting for the return of the meme thread!😂

Do you accept though that she would not have had to “deny deny deny” if Harry hadn’t put the account in the book in the first place?

it was his story. for someone like him this would have been a big moment.and even she says this was. even she was saying they were both like oh shitttt. for his age and virginity status and royal status it was a big deal. therefore in his book about his life.
and those saying he outed her. by atually saying this older waom stuff he very much didnt out her did he.since your all saying she wasnt an older woman?
everyone coming at him.
she was rreally agreeable with everything he said.and sounds like she still really likes him and back then too.
people funnily missed the bit where they didnt ghost eacohter but moved on iin life.
how HE was the one that looked out for her straight away when she was dumped and was the one checking in on her all night.
and didnt bombared her with shots. but new exactly what to do as a friend in that situation.
people litereally makjing there own script up on here to fit the hate harry narrative when she wrote the complete opposite.

ArcaneWireless · 05/02/2023 22:56

Checking in on her all night?

Pretty sure you can do that without actually going in her.

To me it sounds like he knew she was vulnerable so got her drunk and got what he wanted. Not very pleasant.

Ridemeginger · 05/02/2023 23:02

You don't "look out" for a distressed and vulnerable friend by initiating a sexual encounter with her, let alone not checking that she was ok in the days afterwards.

Honestly, it's sociopathic narcissists who think that the clusterfucks they create are always somebody else's fault.

Ritasueandbobtoo9 · 05/02/2023 23:44

I’m intrigued to know why she didn’t carry on working in the horses/polo scene. I wonder whether that was by choice or whether she was discreetly and carefully blacklisted?

Companyofwolves · 05/02/2023 23:54

themessygarden · 05/02/2023 08:08

Gosh, this is so funny ! she was an older teenager, by 2 years.

I saw an extract where it said she smacked him on the ass and sent him on his way, which really does insinuate a much older woman and not a teenager !

And the Rupert Everett story, isn't Rupert Everett gay ?

This is what I’m struck by. What is Rupert Everett hinting??

It makes me wonder what Meghan thinks about her husband discussing his sex life on the world stage.

She's either cringingly embarrassed, quietly seething despite it enabling the Sussexes to rake in the £000's (so possibly prepared to put up with the temporary discomfort). Or a combination.

Exactly. Surely she must be cringing. Laddish bragging about being “ridden” by an “older woman” & playing into all the old tropes is hardly evidence of a feminist husband as Harry claims himself to be. Really quite damaging to her brand. Maybe this will feature in her future narrative of what finally prompted her to escape from the misogynistic, abusive male she so blindly fell in love with & married.
I mean given her politics & stance on virtually everything - she must have had to turn a blind eye to far worse glaring alarm bells, attitudes & behaviour from him from the start? Presumably her eyes were on the bigger prize. They deserve each other tbh.

friendlycat · 06/02/2023 00:16

He really is not a very nice person. This episode speaks volumes as it just never needed to be featured. It’s surplus to requirements but he chose to speak about it, and quite fairly she has chosen to respond.

The constant exaggeration with these two is evident through and through a classic case in point here, albeit on Harry’s side here. The reader is led to believe a much older woman is involved not someone a mere 24 /26 months older and an employee of his father.

So much seems to involve the victim status on a hamster wheel without any recognition of culpability on his part. It’s just relentless. But the wider world reads/hears all this and makes independent judgments on what it has been told. And told expressly by him and in a more limited way by her. Then people judge what they think about it all. But this is no way to live and run your life.

They are going to run out of road, if he hasn’t already done so. The whole edifice of what they claim to campaign for has been blown apart, the doors have been bloody blown off. It’s rather hard to then pick the doors up and put them back on. If you were an A list celebrity in LA would you actually want to associate with this nonsense knowing that at a future point you could feature in “their truth” and version of events?

Does anyone really think she didn’t know exactly what was in the book before it was released? Of course she did. They possibly both didn’t realise how badly it would come across and how cringingly awful it is until they saw the reaction to it. I can believe that as they seem to have little self-awareness and seem oblivious to how hypocritical they appear a lot of the time.

Companyofwolves · 06/02/2023 00:41

@Bluekerfuffle
Maybe that’s why she’s been notably absent for his promo junket. Kind of a visible you’re on your own with this one. Even though it’s been reported her absence is necessary for his story to be properly told & received blah blah blah.

They are both really quite pathetic imo.

Bluekerfuffle · 06/02/2023 01:02

@Companyofwolves , yes, I read somewhere that she had gently raised concerns about the book and the upset it may cause. Cobblers! Sounds like something made up once they saw the reaction to it as she wasn’t at all concerned about the upset the previous interviews would cause.

Exactly. Well said.

I was SO pro H&M and now couldn't think less of them after this trashy book. They'll never live it down and no one of consequence will ever be close to them again, lest they be unfairly cast in a future volume.

She's younger than Meghan!!!!!!!!!

and all the way through the article she makes it clear this was not true. all the way through.even when mentioning the drinks he got she said he new what she needed at that moment.
in no way does she give any hint or any sense of herself being a victim.very very far from it.

she said she moved on! literally said she moved on to vehicles instead.as was her choice

JaneJeffer · 06/02/2023 02:36

H&M are the type of people who can't tell a story without exaggerating and embellishing the facts and don't cop that anyone listening to them is silently thinking yeah right.

He was there for her all night, plying her with drinks.
He jumped her.
He never spoke to her again.

Nice guy.

entirelyesspresso · 06/02/2023 06:52

Drunk teenagers shagging in a field - sounds about normal. The fact that he started ignoring her straight after shows what a dick he was, and that he probably just wanted to bed her when she thought they were real friends.

He's really lucky she didn't sell her story years ago, she came across as a nice person. What an awful predicament he's put her in now, selling their private moment for sensationalism and money (using her a second time)...what a dick!

She doesn't have the means to protect her family from the media onslaught, she's doing the best she can by trying to get her story out there on her terms and hopefully earn a bit as well.

I'm sure she feels completely betrayed. The more we know about Harry the more we realise what a thoroughly unpleasant man he is.

I would imagine working with horses wasn't paying the bills etc, and the hours not great, now she has a family to help support.

But he didn't blame her.in fact noone beware who she was from what he said.kids do thus sort of thing. Lots of teens that age do that.

Of course they do. But they don’t write about it in a book 20 years later in a way that makes the other party indentifiable and without their knowledge or consent. Whether Sasha was ok with the whole thing at the time (which she seems to have been) and has moved on is irrelevant. She is clearly not happy that the story appeared in the book without her prior knowledge. She says so. And as already said, what about the matron at Ludgrove? What about Harry’s previous girlfriends? Harry is allowed to write his memoirs, but his is only one side of the story and for someone who values his privacy, he has driven a cart and horses through others.

OntarioBagnet · 06/02/2023 07:19

I totally agree that his actions are at odds with his words of purporting to be a feminist.

not only his actions at 16yo about getting a vulnerable friend drunk, shagging her in a field and then ghosting her. It’s more his actions now as an adult which are disturbing.

He’s happy to throw a number of women under the bus for a quick buck. The outing of Sasha and exaggeration of the event (she’s not really an older woman and interestingly does not remember any “rump smacking”). The repeating of the mocking of the school matron. He really is deeply unpleasant.
