H&M sue the daily mail over a leaked letter to Thomas Markle but Harry has leaked messages between Kate & Meghan. Where is the logic?

Those texts aren’t real screenshots, though, they are recreated by the Daily Mail.

I actually read the book. The messages from Kate don't scan as verbatim and the exchange is not quoted but written in a way to suggest the text of the messages sent. Granted, the messages by Meghan do seem to read like they've been transcribed word for word but the rest of it just reads like Harry reporting the bare bones of an argument.

Or: she was a woman having the wedding of the year - a huge public spectacle where every nuance would be scrutinised by a harsh press. She was doing this while under enormous stress from what was going on with her father, tensions with the in laws, culture shock, death threats on account of her race....All while away from her home country and the security of being near family and friends.

Not really that surprising, even with staff.

But why all the outrage at Thomas, why sue the mail when they are doing the exact same themselves. Why didn't they want Thomas Markle telling his side? They only want the world to hear their "version" of everything.

I just can't get past the fact they sued the mail over a leaked private letter to her father yet goes ahead & publishes texts between his wife & sister in law.
Not even to him! If would have been slightly better for Meghan to publish them but Harry... And holding onto them for 4 years. They were obviously stockpiling their ammunition.

We don't know the texts are actually true, though. I mean exact!
The thing about txts is that they are usually very brief, and we do not get the tome of the message.

But they were private. I seriously doubt Harold rang Kate & said "Hey sis, I'm going to outline texts you & my wife sent each other, I'm totally assuming I have your consent, ta"
