Who is the bearded man who is always with King Charles?

Over the last week or so I've noticed a man always with the king, in the front of his car, walking just behind him. I'm guessing he's security or similar, but curious to see if anyone knows who he is? He's putting in long shifts these days anyway!

In fact wasn't there a strong rumour than Diana had an affair with her protection officer?
He was replaced without notice and sometime later mysteriously died in a road accident.......

I think Princess Stephanie married one of hers?

My mate knew Prince Edward at Cambridge when they were students many moons ago and said he mostly got invited to things because everyone fancied his bodyguard.

It's a personal security officer.

I spotted some of the same protection officers when they visited the Senedd in Wales this week. I counted eleven marching around the royal family at the funeral today, many of them looking like something out of a James Bond movie. The two discussed on this thread are very distinctive. I’d love to know more about their job and their training!

The Asian guy? He’s a protection officer. He had a taser under his suit jacket outside Buckingham Palace the other day.

This guy always manages to look so friendly and relaxed despite clearly being on high alert and prepared to kill you 😂

Barry Mannakee .. not exactly just a rumour. She referred to him in an interview as the greatest love of her life.

I was wondering about the fake hands thing earlier but he managed to open and shut his car door at Westminster so I decided it was probably nonsense.
