Who is the bearded man who is always with King Charles?

Over the last week or so I've noticed a man always with the king, in the front of his car, walking just behind him. I'm guessing he's security or similar, but curious to see if anyone knows who he is? He's putting in long shifts these days anyway!

Outside St Giles, some of them wore fake hands, so their right hand was on the weapon inside the jacket at all times. Looked pretty impressive!

Eh? Why not just have their hand on the gun? It's not exactly a mystery who they are. I'm guessing that it's a made up thing.

Looks like Hazel from the Umbrella Academy.

Raul57 · 16/09/2022 09:56

Mr Bond?

ScottChegg · 16/09/2022 13:39

The fella with the beard reminds me of Mr Baxter from Grange Hill! Not the stuff of fantasy.

Whoever he is he needs to attend pen and ink training. In fact all those people around him do now he's King otherwise they'll be more tantrums.

@Mumsnut

I would. All day long. That would take my mind off things…

I think the Asian guy is of Indian/ Punjabi/ Sikh decent .. he has becoming something of a celebrity on Instagram

CaveMum · 16/09/2022 14:20

The fun ones to try and spot are the security guys that ride on the back of the horse drawn carriages at weddings/Royal Ascot, etc dressed in traditional livery. The jackets never quite fit them properly, unlike the regular Mews staff who have their jackets adjusted to fit them as they use them on a regular basis.

It’s his Illuminati handler. Every time he does a hand sign it breaks his MK ultra programming. (Joke)

Upyouranty · 16/09/2022 14:24

I think he’s gorgeous- so distinguished and handsome.

Oh hello!

Thanks for that suggestion!

I glanced at this and thought it was John Major 😂😂

😂 that's for Edwina Currie only, I think

DH was Close Protection - didn't guard Royals but did guard Ambassadors and (very) high ranking Military personnel.

Never heard of fake hands but the PPOs absolutely will be armed to the hilt under those jackets - which always remain unbuttoned, even when others have theirs buttoned up (another way to spot them sometimes)

DH used some tricks to make sure he could effectively guard his Principals, including, as one example, smuggling weapons in advance into venues where they were supposedly banned - it's interesting to hear what he got up to when he was in that line of work.

Incredible to think they absolutely would take a bullet for their Principal - takes a special sort 🤣

So what would you need to do to be tackled to the floor by him? Asking for a friend.

I was watching the parade from Buckingham Palace to Westminster Hall. Men in black walking along, try to look inconspicuous. Eyes scanning the crowd and muttering into his ear piece.

TeaAddict235 · 16/09/2022 20:45

The Sikh chap is very very nice on the eyes. Very very nice. Very nice.

True specimen of what I'd call male.

Ahem

StellaGibson2022 · 16/09/2022 20:55

I like both - the Mr Baxter lookalike and the Sikh man (who has a very calm presence (on the telly))

😍😍

We need the Daily Mail to investigate his marital / relationship status...

ah now be fair. If the Daily Mail was going to do a proper job on him I need to know the value of his house…..

Charlavail · 16/09/2022 21:32

Could someone perhaps provide a picture of the sikh chap..
