What does Kate do?

Just wondering if there is an article anywhere about what a typical day for Kate is? I remember seeing a typical weeks diary for Princess Diana when not on Royal tours. Diana's was full of gyms, exercise classes, beauty treatments and lunches. Just wondering if Kate's would look the same?

@BlingLoving Before the pandemic Charles regularly did over 500 engagements a year. That is not possible if each engagement involved lots and lots of pre-preparation. He also still finds time to go on holiday and engage in leisure activities such as grouse shooting.

So sorry I think you are overegging this.
Kate is a rich woman who does a bit of charity work. But most of the time she is free to spend her time as she wishes. And I wondered how she spent that time. It seems to be with the kids, regular tennis lessons, swimming, photography, seeing family. That is what I was interested to know more about.

In all the jobs I've had over the years the easiest ones were sometimes the longest hours and most physically demanding because it was really clear what needed to be done and once the hours were done I didn't have to think about it any more.

I really think this is true. I run a small business , with a number of freelancers. According to my time tracking app for today I spent:

 • 45 minutes engaging with one freelancer re ongoing activities and planning for the next lot of activities. She will be undertaking the work itself.
 • Reviewed 3 documents that each of which will be billed to me as being 7 hours of work (21 hours total). This took me just under 2 hours. I consider this an excellent deal because doing the work myself would have taken at least 15 hours (I'm faster than them) so the 2 hours is a good trade.
 • Reviewed and edited the first stage of a major project we working on for a client. The freelancer who sent me the work has spent 10 hours on it. I spent 1 hour (if I had done it, I'd have spent 20 hours, and done a less good job - again, an excellent ratio).

In addition, I spent 2 hours on direct client work for which I will bill the clients directly by the hour. And I completed my VAT return for the quarter (my PA had done much of this).

I am also at my computer currently because after I made dinner and put DD to bed, at 9pm I came upstairs to do some of this work as it needed to be done before tomorrow.

Just because tasks are delegated, doesn't mean they disappear completely....

I start to understand what other posters are saying.

 1. I didn't say "lots and lots" of preparation. I said that it's not nothing. I think it would be disingenuous to think that if she does 5 engagements, she's spending no more than 5 hours in prep and planning. The need for her to be perfectly turned out probably takes a good few hours per engagement alone!
 2. Kate has a reputation for being very engaged, highly knowledgeable when she attends engagements. And for having done prep work in background (eg the garden from a few years ago or her work on the early years initiative - no one seems to suggest that she hasn't been actively involved behind the scenes).
 3. Many of Charles' engagements do not require much prep at all and certainly, his overall strategy is in place already. In addition, if he's on an international tour (and he did loads of those) in a single day, he could be officially doing 3, 4 or 5 separate engagements.

But sure, we can all agree she spends her time on things that interest her. But as I said, I don't think we are entitled to know what time she gets up, what her meal plans are etc. It's enough to know that she spends time with her family and children, is interested in sport and takes part enthusiastically, is artistic and spends time on that etc.

I disagree that we are not entitled to know.

You may CLAIM to be a Royal Family Fan, but you are bitterly jealous of KATE.

Sucks for you @RoyalFamilyFan

.......MN is still full of mean girls.

POT.

KETTLE.

BLACK.

Oh the irony!

Your whole thread was started with meanness and bitterness and jealousy. Yet you turn on people here, and call US mean girls. LMFAO!

Why this desperate need to know how a woman yuh don’t know spends her day? It’s beyond creepy. Do you really think every hour of her day is catalogued somewhere so the general public will know? Do you think she should be public property to the point where she has NO private life?

ThrobbingToothacheOfTheMind · 10/01/2022 23:32

Hmm

Do you have zero self awareness?

I honestly don't know why? I should leave this alone because I agree, you seem to be looking for reasons to judge her. But no one, no matter how public their role is, is obliged to tell the rest of us the intimate details of their lives. It's enough for me to know she enjoys tennis, I don't need to know how often she plays, if she's got a coach, who she plays with etc. I'm a bit nosey so I'd probably be interested if I heard that (and jealous if, as I suspect, she's playing with Federer on occasion....) but I don't need to know it. Just like I don't need to know exactly how often she does school run or whether she eats carbs.

No, the thread hasn't gone the way you hoped it would so you have now tried to manipulate it so you try to appear genuine, you can then play the 'everyone's being horrible to me'.

Your post was started to hook people in, join you in pulling someone apart and it's backfired on you.

I think MI6 need to check your hard drive love, you have a stalkerish obsession with this woman.

No you are not "entitled" to know what another human being does with their day. None whatsoever, she is a person, with feelings and a family, and she is allowed some privacy. She's not a fish in a bowl for you to tap the glass and be "fascinated" by.

Fucking bizzare, honestly.

theNumbersStation · 10/01/2022 23:40

🎻 for you (life size)

JohnStonesMissus · 11/01/2022 00:39
@RoyalFamilyFan she smokes?! I'm amazed
She used to smoke before she got married but William hated it apparently so she gave up just before they got hitched.

JohnStonesMissus · 11/01/2022 00:42

This is an odd thread though, did the OP hope it would turn in to a Kate hate fest but it's backfired?

SteppinOutwithMyBaby · 11/01/2022 04:45

@RoyalFamilyFan I read that after her last pre-Christmas engagement, she fulfilled a lifetime long dream, and joined the British Antarctic Survey at Halley VII Research Station. She received a grant, given by Prince William, to record day to day life at the station in any forms of media she chooses.

SteppinOutwithMyBaby · 11/01/2022 04:50

@RoyalFamilyFan I've also read that she writes best sellers under a pen-name. I heard that the current genre is thrillers, but I think she's trying to move into literary fiction with an eye to a Booker Prize.

SteppinOutwithMyBaby · 11/01/2022 04:57

@JayAlfredPrufrock I read she smokes rollies and she wants to put the skills to good use to start a company selling bespoke hand rolled cigarettes.

SalyLockheart I've probably posted that many on the Prince Andrew thread! I've a lot to say about him and what's going on! Should I be justifying that to you?

Why do you have to make it personal? And why should the OP even think about answering you....

Yep! There's a few accounts on here who obsessively post negative comments about Kate (and/or William to get at Kate). When they get called out, they moan about being accused of lying or being bullied Hmm

OP and one of her pals even spent Christmas Day posting nasty comments about Kate on here. Pathetic behaviour.
