Troll - really nasty posts

I've reported the two posts I've seen by yourusername12345678910 in Parenting and Relationships. Both on threads where the OP is somewhat vulnerable and emotional. There might be more. Anything else that can be done?

OP posts:

Automatic hiding of a post till HQ have had a chance to look at it is a good idea - some of the posts are so vile it'd actually be awful to read them on your thread if you were at a low ebb and really needing help and support. Think the threshold would have to be higher than three reports though!

thequickbrownfox · 06/12/2015 06:44

X post!

GladysTheGolem · 06/12/2015 06:44

Also reported.

Would reporting as spam get them hidden/flagged quicker?

Candlefairy101 · 06/12/2015 06:47

I've just clicked on the link from lilli Shock can't believe how vile username is!

And having the time and patience to not only be so mean but to write in sooo many threads!

fanjoforthemammaries7850 · 06/12/2015 06:50

They're being abusive to someone in labour. That's just beyond the pale.

And now on an early pregnancy thread. I hope someone from HQ can stop this troll before it causes any more upset

thequickbrownfox · 06/12/2015 06:58

The abortion thread is the worst...

I've just posted on the labour thread to try and drown it out a bit, poor woman coming back to that sort of bile on such an important day for her.

Arkkorox · 06/12/2015 07:04

Apparently I have been abusing the troll! Who knew!

thequickbrownfox · 06/12/2015 07:10

He/she is nowt but a nasty arsehole. Best ignored, as the interaction is what it wants.

Rosa · 06/12/2015 07:12

IMO its an adult sick troll come on MNHQ wake up and get rid of them -

Jasonandyawegunorts · 06/12/2015 07:12

what happened to the night patrol... people who could hide posts and threads until MNHQ could look?

Arkkorox · 06/12/2015 07:14

Ha I have angered it. Oh well. I would rather the hate was directed at me than those who could be upset by it.

Jasonandyawegunorts · 06/12/2015 07:14

.... i realse now that this is in the Night watch section.

FairNotFair · 06/12/2015 07:14

S/he certainly has been busy tonight. Very industrious. And disturbed.

TheWildOnes · 06/12/2015 07:16

Have also reported. What a nasty shit!

Candlefairy101 · 06/12/2015 07:19

I'm trying to report every post I see them write on.

I've only been on mumsnet since the summer and have never seen this before, what does one get out of being so cruel? I genuinely don't understand it!

Candlefairy101 · 06/12/2015 07:58

How do you hide a post? Just for future reference

thequickbrownfox · 06/12/2015 08:03

Not sure you can - you can hide a thread though. There really needs to be some auto provision for hiding a poster who's trolling completely though- in this instance the poster must have been reported dozens of times in the space of a few hours. Ideally an automatic hide should kick in at least till someone can look things over. The abortion posts are vile. It's not a kid, it's some adult with severe problems, probably a PBP.

merrymouse · 06/12/2015 08:18

looks as though posts are being dealt with now

thequickbrownfox · 06/12/2015 08:25

Albeit glacially slowly....only a few are gone.

thequickbrownfox · 06/12/2015 08:26

I stand corrected, they are all gone thank goodness.

Footle · 06/12/2015 08:30

Hooray !

We3KingyOfOblomovAre · 06/12/2015 11:44

Was she the one either 42 kids. I saw here on 3 different threads, not realising they were zombie threads from 2010, she was a right one, wasn't she?

Candlefairy101 · 06/12/2015 11:47

Yea I think your right that was she/he.

It's seems they think it's a game and like we can't get rid of them because she/he kept say 'i never sign in with the same username twice or can I come back and play'

He/she has probably already created a new profile and watching their drama now
