Happy Black Cat Day

[Davros]

National Black Cat Day was created by Cats Protection on 27 October 2011 to help celebrate the majesty of monochrome moggies and beautiful black cats. When the campaign was launched, statistics revealed that black and black-and-white cats took, on average, seven days longer to find a home compared to cats of other colours.

Moppet, 6 months old, is not impressed with her hat 🐈‍⬛

Here are my two wee bastards. Brother and sister. It's true that I don't have many great pictures but we adopted them for themselves, not for insta.

Happy National Black Cat Day 🐈‍⬛

Here’s my little menace…

Here’s my girl, being glorious. I love her so much 🥰🐈‍⬛

I hope a tuxedo cat is allowed: adopted this sweetie two years ago.

Here's my black little munchkin Juniper, her tabby sister runs rules the house and Juniper just lets her get on with it!

Happy National Black Cat Day!!! Bigging up the black cats xxx

Our gorgeous boy, getting on a bit now at 15 but was still running around the house like a lunatic howling for food at 5:30am this morning… (full moon, you say?)

2 year old Autumn adopted from Cats Protection - last in the litter because she was a black. Absolutely adorable 🐈‍⬛️

Little Tennyson is pleased to have his own special day. Though he knows he's special every day.

My cute black cat actually celebrates her birthday today. 13 years old. She’s had a lick-e-lix to celebrate

Here's mine...
And with her bestie who she 'saved 'when his db died...

Meet Lemmy. So called because he’s black as the Ace of Spades…The Ace of Spades…

Happy black cat day to you too

Some proper beautiful black cats here. 😍

Hooray! I’ll tell the resident dickhead that it’s his day today.

Of course every day is all about him, but at least today is official.

Beautiful boy 😍

Ah I'll just let my cat know. She knows she's special enough already, but having her own day to celebrate it? 😂----

This is Queen Ebony.

Picture not appearing for some reason.

Here's Marmaduke having a Marmanap.

This is her.

This is Wednesday. She is utterly adorable and the sweetest, most placid cat 🥰

This is our gorgeous 14 year old Portuguese boy.

Apparently his picture is a sensitive image!!🤔😆

Happy Black Cat Day, this is my two (one sadly no longer with us), adopted from a shelter where they had been for 4 months, overlooked as plain black adult cats. Rosie lived to 19 and Bonnie is still with us aged 20!
