Cat being neutered and microchipped tomorrow

Hi I'm probably overthinking this all but my cat is my baby and I want to do everything possible to help him. He is booked in to the vet to be neutered and microchiped tomorrow and I'm just wondering if I need to do anything special once he's home, any tips and what to expect? Added a pic to pay the cat tax 🙂

When our first semi feral got back he ran under the solar panels, all his brothers came to see him and sit round him and he spent about an hour just meeping at them, presumably telling them every little thing that happened all day.

@Whiskyfromsmallglasses you can get a soft cone like a humans neck pillow if you're near a pets at home or jolleyes do a click and collect maybe much better than those hard cones

I had one who sulked on the sofa for a few days

Anothet one who had the cone of shame off as soon as he was out down and terrorising us immediately

Mine hissed and ran out, I think he was angry I had spoilt his love life. But later on he was chilled and a cool dude on the block.

I’m surprised at the number of ‘cones’ still being used . Our vet advised we’d be better with our mainecoon in a post op suit - bit like a baby grow with open bum area .
Cost was about £12 I think
Looked super cute in it and I was surprised at how well it worked
covered her wound so no licking and supported her tummy .
We called it ‘cat Spanx’
Amazon sell them too but not as good quality .
Came off day 5 and great resolved healing .
