Cat tired in this weather

My 15 year old cat slept most of yesterday and still seems rather lazy and unbothered about going out despite normally being a night cat.

She isn't ill but it's hot so I'm assuming the heat is causing this. She's eating and drinking and otherwise ok, just tired.

Anyone else's cat the same?

Oh I’ve been giving her cat soup (Felix) and mopped her with a cold flannel this morning.

Mine has been either outside or in the hottest room in the house all day, out of choice. I’ve been trying to encourage him to go in the kitchen where it’s a lot cooler and he can lie on the tiles, but he’s not interested.

16 year old Isis has been asleep all day apart from a brief interlude with a catnip banana. She does insist on cuddling with me and its like cuding a hot water bottle. The young cat is outside lying under the tree being taunted by pigeons.

I love it when they lie stretched out like that.

My cat has been out but is definitely slower and more lethargic in the heat. Also, I put a cooling mat on my bed and she used it last night! She spent part of the might on the windowsill next to the slightly open window. She's not silly!

Mine have been stretched out in the shade for the last couple of days. That’s until the sprinkler goes on and Mango loves playing with it. Fig, on the other hand just looks on with distain

Our four are all completely flaked out.
I prod them occasionally to check they are still alive 🤣

Proof that cats sometimes use cooling mats! Or at least this cat does.

I bought mine a nice cooling mat and the little cow didn’t use it. Tried it with her last year when it was hot.

Mine is just a floppy mess in the heat. Bought him a cooling mat. Put a pillow case over it on car he just didn't like the feel of it. This is the result.

Is she quite young? Mine is 15 so maybe more inclined to use it due to feeling the effects of the heat more. Or maybe she is just being a cow!

Girl cat is either in the open window or stretched out next to me in bed. She usually curls up on my legs

My skinny old man has been on this sofa for approx 30 hours straight. Right in my personal space, making me even more hot and bothered. All three are feeling the heat though and one of them has the shits 😓

She’s just turned 13. She’s quite picky though (apart from food). Actually she’s been up and down stairs this evening so can’t be that hot.

Mine spent all morning under the duvet - can’t vouch for the afternoon as I was out, she was sprawled on the pillow when I got home.

She’s currently doing the Hokey Cokey through the back door as it’s cooled down nicely. When I go to bed she’ll be back under the covers being a hot water bottle, and grumbling if I move.

Yeah my poor critter is just sprawled on the floor or lying under a bush at the very back or the garden for most of the day. She’s exhausted.
