My cat watches TV!

Due to the cold weather my cat can't go outside and I've discovered on the off chance that she enjoys watching birds on tv! I often put nature scenes with birdsong etc in the background and noticed my cat getting very excited! I think i will put the tv on more for her benefit now.

Does your cat do this?

Yes bless our new rescue does this ! He’s very intrigued by anything especially stand up comedy 😂

My current cat isn’t that bothered but when I used to foster & had kittens who needed to keep quiet after being spayed, I’d put Cat TV on YouTube on for them & they loved it.

my stupid ginger one thinks it’s real

Mine's got square eyes. He even watches adverts and other non animal programmes. My partner, soft cat Dad, has put a little stool by the tv so the cat has a better view.

I have three cats and one of them regularly stares at the tv. He’ll watch any it is particularly I tested in animals of all sizes.

My kitten loves cat tv on YouTube. She has my
old iPad and will spend quite a while watching it. She also likes to play fetch with bits of tin foil and is quite fond of a game of peekaboo.

I had to stop with the cat TV as they would throw themselves against the screen - especially with the birds in the wood/mice coming out of holes....

However a bird feeder by the window has provided hours of entertainment

Oh yes ! Marvy likes wildlife programmes but is also keen on the darts. You can't see the screen in this image but trust me he's gripped by Luke the Nuke!

Try snooker. We used to have a cat who loved snooker. Also horseracing.

Ours likes Cat TV on YT - but also (inexplicably) The Dog House on C4. Otherwise he’s not bothered, completed it, mate.

my in laws cat loves snooker and westerns! And The Chase.

Back in the 80s childhood cat would come in the living room at 5.30 and watch Neighbours but when at 6 we switched over for Home and Away she'd get up and leave.

Oooooh. Just discovered that the new version of Cat Alone now has a selfie mode so you can take a photo of your cat peering into the screen whilst playing the game. 😺

The cat we had when I was growing up liked Rainbow. Unfortunately we don't know a song about that!
