Our feline overlords have so many current strings to their joint and several bows.

Auditioning for Series One of The Prison Cat, forming a band, and continuing to plot against their enemies by means of their Ouija Boards - will they even have time to sleep now?

If you heard a snatch of conversation that went

‘They love good smelly sweaty stuff.’
’Yes, the stinkier the better.’

What would you assume the two women were talking about?

Defiantly41 · 25/11/2025 16:23

CHEESE!

EmpressaurusKitty · 26/11/2025 07:16

I was chatting with a work colleague about our cats’ obsession with smelly gym / running kit. Especially trainers & armholes.

Kitty’s always straight into my shoes & I had a foster who’d leap onto my gym top as soon as I took it off.

The snatch of conversation above was just as we walked into the office & from the startled looks I think at least one person thought we were talking about those weird types who buy used shoes, socks & knickers off EBay.

I can just hear the defence.

I was only buying them for the cat m'lud 🤣🤣🤣

Well at least on Vinted they won't let you upload and sell used knickers.

And no, I didn't try to.
🤣

Ooh, talking of Ebay - I've had two offers for my ex's sex toy on there.

You are either the type of person who would buy 2nd hand sex toys on eBay, or you are not. I guess. I really hope Mr. ex-Broon sees it. 😂
It is 3.00 am here and Cat Three has resigned himself to the fact I will not be making snacks appear, after getting super excited I got up. To compensate himself, he is making use of my radiant heat capabilities. Thank you Cat Three.
Here he is enjoying the warm front room yesterday.

That is indeed a magnificent allotment cat 😻

RumNotRun · 26/11/2025 17:54

I am on the sofa with my heated blanket on. Toad was fast asleep on my lap under the blanket but I think he suddenly realised he'd left the iron on or something cause he went from the deepest sleep to suddenly sprinting off. Odd ball.

So that's where Linney goes when he disappears for hours.

That reminds me that it's been ages since I saw Glamourpuss, the Linney lookalike round our way. Hope she's OK.
Herbie was no use when I asked if he'd seen her.

YelramBob · 26/11/2025 20:27

Pebbles was going crazy this morning in the bedroom, scratching at something. I dismissed it as kitty zoomies. Just went into the bedroom and found THIS on the wall....

I know. It's still trapped under my blender beaker and I don't know what to do with it 😭 😭

Please tell me you're not in the UK! I'm trying to be braver with spiders but that is a whole next level from my cellar spiders!

No, I'm in Cyprus. I've had big MoFo spiders in my house before but that was when I lived next to a banana plantation.

I need to chuck it out 😭

RumNotRun · 26/11/2025 21:32

Oh thank goodness @YelramBob!

My bloomin useless cats do nothing with spiders. Toad hit one of the wall once and it was that chunky that I heard it land on the floor but couldn't see it. Toad just walked off, totally uninterested, whilst I was trying to not panic that the biggest spider in the world was lurking somewhere near me.

Have to admire Toad's nonchalance 😁

Linney and Gizmo would have eaten it, having spent hours hissing and staring at each other, hoping that the winner of the dispute would get first dibs at the spider.

A previous cat, Ali, often caught moths and then brought them into the house and spat them out so they could fly around the house. One evening I could hear something odd in my room so went over to where the sound was coming from. There was a bloody huge moth, it's body was nearly the size of my thumb. I have never seen a moth that size, it reminded me of the Death's Head Hawks moth from Silence of the Lambs. The cats just watched it from a safe distance. None of them would go near it, bloody wimps.

I had a similar moth experience. I thought a bat had flown into my bedroom, it was that huge. I was having a full on panic attack, my cats were like 😴

Pianoaholic · 26/11/2025 22:40

I think I already told the story of how my old cat Gabby once brought a huge moth in and chased it round the house for ages.
We took pity on it and put it outside.
Next night, she brought it in again, looking worse for wear, moth-eaten in fact!
She used to bring us loads of mice too.
